His opinion is formed on the sole basis of who he does/doesn't like.
And his constant reliance on stats and shoving them down our throats is exhausting
 
'Can Nathan Buckley coach?' is David's latest refrain. He asked the question on foxtel, and again on sen. If I said to David that all coaches are pretty much of similar ability, and are simply at the mercy of their list managers, I'm sure he would agree. If I said to David that players who gather 40 possessions every week would surely know the game well enough to coach, I'm sure he would agree with that too. If I said to David that he no longer gives an honest opinion, and that he has become a puppet, and that he has been instructed to fall in line with all the other scumbag journos and take the low road and be a wowser, I'm sure he would agree with that also. So sad that this is what becomes of men that once had integrity. He seems like a good guy, just a victim of his environment. Hopefully he has other interests in life.

Oh and yeah King is painful, just seeing his stupid "I take my footy seriously" face makes me want to punch it. He was equally as annoying as a player.
 
His latest fad is "contested ball". He continually bats on about how Hawthorn has a negative E=MC2 differential of "contested ball" but continue to find a way to win. In his scientific mind, if we lose to the Swans this week it will be due to the negative to-the-power-of-pi "contested ball" differential and that one game is enough for it to be a trend, and he will be the football Einstein he thinks he is.

Hey David, here's a thought, maybe we have been winning because we have a positive "our goals vs theirs" differential you dope. Then again, it could be our superior "effective quarterbacking slingshot centre corridor movements" that have got us over the line.

I used to deal at Crown Casino a couple of years ago. He got kicked out of the poker room for being too drunk on at least 3-4 occasions. One night after he was banned from the poker tables for being too loud and abusive to other players (obviously he was off his head), he was told he could stay in the room but not play. My table I was dealing on had a couple of extra seats, and he snuck in and sat next to me and said deal me in dealer. I said, David, you know you have to get a ticket from the pit stand, I can't just let you sit here without a ticket and I know you have been told not to play tonight. The other players said, just let him play, we are sick of not having a full table, so I said alright but David try and keep it down and not make it so obvious. He was still there an hour later and eventually was escorted out. There was a new dealer on the table by then.

Edit: sorry for not putting speech marks, I am lazy today..

Was he ripping out useless stats like your contested pot %, effective hands dealt, big blind conversion rates, etc?
