just would like to hear some thoughts on what you think we will get from him in 2004. i haven't seen him play but to be "seriously considered" to be selected for the grand final is huge, so some feedback from people that have watched willy would be appreciated.

also, it says he weighs 81kg. that was pre-season. now, i can't find the photo, but there's a photo of buckley and king in a drill (grand final week?), king is holding bucks, and no joke, king looks as strong if not, stronger than bucks.

some feedback on king would be appreciated

i think king may have been overlooked for gf only coz his position was taken by johnson, shaw, cole and lokan
it got to the point where his form couldnt be ignored, much like kinnear at willy earlier in year
he is big bulked up
it will probably be a form issue as to how regularly he plays next year, and not been overlooked due to his inexperience

that photo with bucks was from gf week

if anyone can find that i wouldn't mind having a look at that again coz its a good comparison in the way of body size, coz if he can be as strong as bucks...

At the draft Noel Judkins said they took him because they saw him as a potential top 10 pick in the next draft.

He is a solid lad (overwieght?) who posseses good skills as well as accountablity

I'm not sure of his pace however. From what I've seen it's not very impressive but I have heard of other people contridicting my opinion. The fact that he is considered as a 'line breaker' by the coaching staff shows that he must have some pace but I am still unsure from what I have seen first-hand.

We can see how he is next week in the match in London.

He is pretty fast, from some Willy games I saw this year.

Good to hear.

It must be his "solid" body shape which makes him look slow to me! :p

IMO It would be hard for him to break into the side if he is slow, since we already have Lokan, Johnson, Shaw, Lonie etc

I think its because of his body shape his pace is deceptive. Dont think he would be much chop over 100 yards but hes got get up and go over 5 yards which is much more important in the middle

David King will play seniors next year.

Solid, good kick, cool head, strong and quite a good mark for his size.

He actually reminds me of Mark Ricciuto (wears #32 as well) in terms of body shape, kick, strength and quite quick off the mark.

Look forward to seeing him play next year. I reckon he will be used as a back pocket/ back flank- with the potential to play centre or ruck rover down the track.
