Throwing him back loose behind the ball was one of the crucial moves of the game on Thursday as he was more effective than Clinton Young for Collingwood. It is almost the most important position on the ground.

I agree WW, what about his sizzling lace out pace to the river end finding a Crow inside 50....CLASS...not sure who it was but it was a memorable moment.
Dunno how he spotted him up through what looked like a shitload of traffic from where I was sitting.
Yea, that was to Jenkins at the top of the 50m arc early in the 3rd. Weighted it perfectly, just high enough to go over the a Collingwood player ahead of Jenkins, but still sat perfectly for Jerka to grab it without any issues.

I agree DMac is having a good year - but I still have trouble reconciling him now with the sub-AFL-standard player we saw constantly last year. Whats changed? Or has he finally realised he better do something or this will be his last season?

But apparently if we lose Mackay at years end, it's a nothing loss

So a side that was lacking pace has supporters gladly GIVING him away and saying good riddance  .......it simply never amazes me anymore

I am amazed myself when someone who fundamentally misunderstands free agency and its relationship with the salary cap then deigns to patronise others who actually do understand how the system works

C'est la vie

Particularly those saying trade him when he is a free agent!

The big difference I see this year is his preparedness to get his hands dirty, not only providing run some of his "inside" work has also been excellent, so much harder at the man and pill.
I think we really stuffed up our pre-season fitness last year & as an outside type player Mackay really suffered.

I said that continuously ......your comment stands to reason

Last season's pre-season was one of the key factors in the crows' missing the finals

+ tippett-gate + Bailey's suspension

Was fantastic last night. 2nd best behind Sloane. Was unusually aggressive at the contest. Big improver from last year.

And so to all those brave BF posters who can't recognize talent and just have a one-sided bias view of players performance ....here's to you

I said he wasn't fit enough to play the game style required .....guess what he got fit & with it came confidence
Talent never disappears ......unless you're incapable of spotting talent !

He needs to be dropped NOW!!!!!!!!!!!! Send him a freaking message!

He's done. Trade him at seasons end for anything we can get.

Absolutely useless player now, talk about a list clogger. Drummond,

Yep, at this stage I'd take the cap space over Mackay.
Sack Trigg. Sack Chapman. Time for a change!

WW said DMack has really improved his tackling, that one tackle must have been a ripper Elite Crow, Mar 30, 2014
;)

But Wayne's world claimed the haters were wrong after a good trial game.

DMack should be averaging over 20 possessions this stage of his career.

I know I am a broken record on this but we allow average players to have long average careers and then we wonder why we haven't played in a GF since the 90s. Elite Crow, Mar 21, 2014

You really are a repetitive......******

Firstly, the beef with Mackay is he hasn't fulfilled his potential. Yes he has good games but overall his career has been a let down.

Secondly you are vindicating your opinion based on a 18 possession games against GWS in a trial match. How about waiting until the season has started against quality opposition before you pat yourself on the back.

As for poor judges, hmm, Jacky, Kossie and yes let's get Gumby. Elite Crow, Mar 7, 2014

;)

And yet none have come out and said they were wrong about Mackay

Classic WW wankfest.

We've got a player like Dmac who until this year has failed to deliver on his potential. To the point last year he was dropped. Posters who have observed this are somehow idiots. He's averaging 19 possessions, second highest to his 2nd year in the comp. but his previous 3 years it's been 15,16 and 16.

If DMack had played like his that year over the last 3 years he wouldn't have been criticised and wouldn't have been dropped.

Get your hand off it WW.

Edit, well I couldn't have timed my post any better.

Perhaps we should bump your posts about Jacky, Kossie and Gumbleton. You tosser.

I dont give a **** how hes performed in previous years, if he can keep up this years form he stays.
No one is saying get rid of him based on this years form. If only he'd played like this year over the last 3 years, there would be no need for WWs wankfest .

Thats partly the fault of the coaches to drop him. how will he get the message if he gets a game each week.

You forgot Luke Jericho, a WW favourite.

At least he didn't bore us to death with on of his self indulgent posts on how brilliant a talent spotter he is - errr, hang on...
