This is my post on Big footy...and I wanted it to be a good one...so here it is-

On the grapevine...serious consideration is being given to a David Morgan led ticket to challenge Clinton Casey and his team. David Morgan is the CEO of Westpac Bank in Sydney and played a handful of games for Richmond when he was a young man.

My information is that the ticket is being organised by Brendan Schwab. If Morgan decides to stand it will be a massive coup for the club. The only issue is that Westpac is based out of Sydney but dont be surprised to see the Tigers have Morgan fly in for board meetings. Morgan is in Melbourne atleast on a fortnightly basis so he'd be well capable of running board meetings and putting in place the necessary business plans to move the club forward.

A major part of the push will be to bring a big name coach to the tigers at the same time. If this happens...tigers fan will soon have things to be happy about!

Congratulations on your first post.

But as exciting as this would be, cant see it happening. He just wouldnt have the time to do it.

Maybe if he does run, he'll have his wife Ros Kelly sit in for him to wipe the white boards clean.

Any changes would be welcome right now. We need to have our coaching panel wiped out if this happens. With Frawley, brittain, hutchison and crocker, we are going to the depths of despair fast.

I'm not sure that Casey is to blame for the coaches performance, after all he didn't appoint Frawley. A president should be supportive of the coach (to the outside world) shouldn't he?

Casey did bring Ian Campbell and Greg Miller to the tigers and they were both good appointments as far as I'm concerned. I'm not really into the club politics so I really don't know what he's done wrong. Perhaps someone can enlighten me.

Serious? I hope so aye... i want young talent. I Want lambert, harvey and odonnel as our senior coaches. That would be sweet but can we replace our board during the year?

Morgan was a reserves player with the Tigers. He never played any senior games but has always followed and supported Richmond.
I'm sold lol.

What a bonus to have a president who supported the club.

short sighted decision if i ever seen one.

Was not a good move. Will bite us big time. Short term band aid solution. Especially via email!!! Pretty low act.

pretty logical reason for that considering there will always be more reserved seats sold at Richmonds home game considerimng we have 10,000 less members....thats worth a bloody fortune
