Raiders, your scenario is exactly how I see him potentially developing, and I guess if Mundy or Johnson (or Drum) do move midfield it reinforces this path of development.

With the suggestion of him playing back, do you think he is potentially more a defensive midfielder or and attacking player?

Rather than developing as a running defender, does he have the capacity to develop his midfield skills via the path of a tagger?

He could play either a defensive or attcking defender it wouldn't matter because he has very good skills off the foot. in regards to the tag scenario, once he establishes himself in the midfield I can see it would be him getting taged and not the other way round. However though if he was tagging someone he would have the aerobic capacity to run with them, it's just an experience thing that would hold him back.

First post... here goes, I hope I don't offend to many people...

But, how can Myers be a good fit for us?
We have Mundy, Drum etc who already fill the HBF'er position...
It won't be good enough to get a good player who may play well in a position we are deficient in.

The sunday times likened him to Adam Selwood with good leadership qualities... this is almost exactly what was said about Drum, but Selwood is no superstar. Palmer is the perfect fit to spice up our midfield. If he's not available we should take Mastern, Ebert and Myers at a last resort...

With Kruezer, Morton and Cotchin almost certain to be gone with the first 3 picks we just need the Western Bulldogs to take the best tall forward with their pick, which is what they should do given their lack of tall forwards.

That would leave Ebert, Mastern or Palmer to pick up... Hopefully

Agree with all of that new school. But Masten and Palmer will probably be gone by pick 7 and Ebert is a bit of a risk to go home in 2 years time.

If we pass on Masten/Palmer for Myers I'll be very disappointed.

Masten and Palmer were interviewed on the news tonight (ten I think ). I don't know the PC way to say this, but Palmer talks a bit funny. They seem like really good mates. They were debating who will go first, Palmer said that Masten is going to the eagles, when Masten replied that Palmer was going to richmond Rhys didn't look impressed lol.

If were lucky and Masten or Palmer are still available I'm sure we'll grab one of them over Myer.
