Fagan is definitely not afraid of tough conversations. Don't let what he projects in the media fool you.

I'd also be very down for Noble back to the club.

Was driving home about an hour ago listening to SEN. All I heard, imo, was a character assassination of David Noble.

Host was talking to a reporter (not sure who) who said the review had shown tensions were high with staff and players with the coach etc.

One North person phoned in and said as they had an "exceptional list" (I nearly choked) a more experienced coach will get them going.

Was Noble disliked with us? I doubt it.

Probably staff and players were very comfortable and they didn't like changes/suggestions being made.

I watched a little of Noble's presser and it was lump in the throat stuff when he was talking about the players and his family support, you could tell he was heartbroken, really feel for him. He said he wanted to take some time off now to refresh and then wants to move on to his next challenge in footy as footy is apart from his family his life.:hearts:
 
I dont think we should get Nobes back in a coaching role. Danny Daly has moved up to his position. It would be awkward to bring him back as an underling to his old protege. It would also be awkward to put Daly back under Noble. It will bring unnecessary tension into the coaching department. Also its not like Noble will be bringing back fresh new hot IP from that toilet of an organisation.

Edit I do hope he gets a roll somewhere. Hopefully he plays a part in building the mew Tasmania team

IIRC David Noble while he was with us indicated that he was keen on going down an administration path, pretty sure taking over from Greg Swann as CEO eventually was mentioned, Swann is in his 8th year as our CEO he might be up for a change of scenery... he did an 8 year stint as Magpies CEO and 7 years as Blues CEO so that seems to be about his length.

Although he may now have the coaching bug.

As Lethal says, Norf's admin are useless and eventually it all filters through the whole club. (including the performance on the field)

Let's just expand on what Lethal actually said:

“You’ve got the chairman of the board, who’s only been around the board and the footy world a little bit at that level, never at club level in other words, never at an executive level. Ben Amarfio, who’s been there for a year or two, but didn’t come out of a football background."

Who’s got credibility to be making decisions on a way a football club, particularly a football department of a football club, should be run? And do you know who is there who’s got that credibility to know how a football department runs? David Noble.

“You take Noble out of the North Melbourne situation, they’ve got no one at the club with credibility.”

This was from a week ago so not prompted by todays events.
 
For whatever he got paid the media scrutiny and the public hanging out of the washing is not worth it for David Noble or anybody.

I really feel for him and what he's going through and they couldn't have handled it with less dignity if they tried.

Keep your sprits up Dave , you'll be back somewhere.
