Cripps & Doc :blueheart: :blueheart: :blueheart:

“We’re so rapt he got the gig.”
“Everyone loves him and I think you could see by his humour in the press conference, he’s so likeable,” Cripps said.

“I think you’ve seen by the reaction in there that the players are pretty happy with it,” Docherty said.

Nope.
This is a far better built team than 07-11.
We have proper list management.
We have proper high performance.
Now we have a tactical coach.
We are built for sustained success this time.

I get what you are saying BUT if we get Coniglio the synergy between now and 07 is uncanny.

People can deride me all they want but these next 4 years will make or break the club, just as important as the last 4. Get as many decisions right moving forward as we have just gone and it will be momentous.

Fk the same 4 years up as we did in the last rebuild and it won’t be any different.

Just got to watch the press conference.
Teague could not be more impressive.
I love the fact it was inhouse. A family thing.
Not some performance for the media.
The abundant confidence is the massive thing.
He will have these players walking on hot coals believing it doesn't hurt a bit.

I really don't see it.
We haven't had this sheer breadth of youth on our list at any point in our history
And I mean in both regards to quantity and quality of these youths

I see a clear plan, where list turnover is natural and youths will step up to fill the necessary roles.
We did not have this during Ratten's tenure.
In fact it's probably the primary reason we platued so heavily under his reign.

There is a parallel between luring Judd & Coniglio, but only in the most superficial of senses.
Coniglio is not nearly as big a fish as Judd and we're bringing him in to complement our midfield bigrade, not shoulder it practically entirely by himself.

I guess we'll have to agree to disagree though.

Right now, I'm feeling very bullish about our management, our coach, our recruitment staff & our list.
I don't believe I've ever felt this secure about our position in my conscious recollection of following this club.

Only time will tell the story, but we had some serious talent post draft in 2007, a few holes that needed to be filled like now.

New coach, lots of optimism.

We need to keep SOS for these next few years, he’s a genius, and his recruiting team and a much better board and admin.

It really is there for the taking, we have the benefit of hindsight this time so really shouldn’t fk it up but these next 4 years are pivotal

Changing my sig in light of our CEO's comments.

"I look at this club right now, I look at the talented playing list, I look at the off-field stuff, the membership growth, the crowds, the commercial growth and the little things like the close proximity to the CBD in Melbourne," Liddle said.

"I just look at it and think, 'gee if I was a player or an administrator at another club' … why wouldn't you want to come to Carlton? The heavy lifting has already been done.”

- Cain Liddle earlier today

Congratulation Davie T.

This feels like a really good appointment by the club.

Ps. I added the next part of our CEO’s sentence; above in red. It’s important because it acknowledges the hard work undertaken by the club to-date; and, implicitly, Bolton’s contribution in that effort.

Go Blues.
