I don’t follow your point. Football games are played on football grounds, the team who kicks more points win games. What's a few good examples of him thriving under pressure that isn't on field then..?
European step at bunnings. Boom. What's a few good examples of him thriving under pressure that isn't on field then..?
Chess? What the heck? He does play chess bra. And he can play the game.I don’t follow your point. Football games are played on football grounds, the team who kicks more points win games.
Games win premierships, I couldn’t care less if Walsh played chess off the field, what does it matter?

No chance. We are heavily into Bradley dalrymple from WA who can coach like the clappers. Is there a chance we are stuck with him another year whilst they try to flush out Clarkson?
Only if we get to hold hands and sing koumbaya my lord. That's sounds nice. If I rename the board Camp Kookamunda, will we all be friends again?
putting 2 and 2 together …. Interesting Ross Lyon is not in the final 5 for the Magpie job !!
Who wants to watch a game of football by putting 18 men behind the ball?
Maybe give Walsh another season with a view to Captaincy in 2023, possibly Weitering & Walsh could be Vice Captain in 2022, no doubt we don't have genuine leaders that stand out which is a problem within itself as most of better performing clubs do.What's a few good examples of him thriving under pressure that isn't on field then..?

Not convinced about Teague refusing an improvement in his assistants, kinda believe he was loyal to those who supported him in getting the coaching role - but that isn't a bad thing - others would have been involved in agreeing -given he was asked ( presumably) if he wanted changes...
I agree with game plan being a bit wonky - poor enough in parts that even arm chair watchers (like me and you) can pick issues - but that in't 'skill error' in players - thta is coaching.
As for player skills I think the team is carrying a few players that can't execute basic skills under any sort of pressure and sometimes even no pressure.
SO I put things all together and think - well game plan can be fixed - and players can improve or be replaced- we all know/suspect who the weak links are and what needs to be improved one way or another. So I am totally neutral on Teague - can see upside can also ssee downside in replacing or keeping him.
It's a fair point - he was an assistant who stepped in to fill a gap above him, and was then approved to retain that role. Not many people in that position would be comfortable turning around and sacking a handful of the colleagues they'd worked closely with for the previous few years. Even harder for him to make an educated call on them given he hadn't really had much direct oversight of them to make decisive judgements on their capabilities, nor would he have the pull to bring in "highly rated" assistants from other clubs to work under him.
If he was more ruthless, maybe he, and we, would be in a better position now. But I imagine there are very few people in the industry who'd have the guts to sack a few colleagues 5 minutes after getting a promotion.

5 minutes?
It was one and half seasons later.
I may have misread somewhere - I thought the offer had been made when he was appointed, where last off-season we were limited by cap cuts?
It was the other way round, he was stuck with them at the end of 19, could have made changes last year and chose not to.

do you think murphy was a good captain?I don’t follow your point. Football games are played on football grounds, the team who kicks more points win games.

Some of that vision is damning on players and coach.Boys on “The Couch” just confirmed everything I've been saying about Teague.
Agreed. Lack of effort, and a run of unanswered goals against. Some of that vision is damning on players and coach.

Either the players have no idea of their roles, or, they've concluded Teague is gone. Some of that vision is damning on players and coach.
No idea. But it’s damming footage. Is there a way to watch this after it's aired?
