What specifically has Warner been suspended for? Anyone know what aspect of the findings, investigation etc led to his name been put forward? Because as it originally stood Warner was not even mentioned.

Unless Smith's leadership group mention was Warner had been ball tampering with the bandages all series then when scrutinised handed over to Bancroft.

Hardly comparable, the incident had just happened and both of them probably weren't in the right head space to be in the same room as one another. It could be a different store in a year or twos time when they potentially play together again, that just sounds like more media gossip.

Because ball tampering has been around since the year dot. Warner hardly invented it or sandpaper. Unless he deliberately targeted Bancroft and bullied him into it he can feel aggrieved.

For all the outcry and talk of CA cleaning up the culture then yes suspend the team if that is what it takes. Absolutely hate the scapegoating and whitewashing. This is my point the General Public puts its time and money in so should know everything. Otherwise save the PR exercise and let the umpires and ICC deal with it.

Personally I'd have just removed Smith and Warner from the c and VC and given Smith and Bancroft 4-5 test suspension.
