Even including that 200 he has averaged under 30 for his last 31 innings.

one century and four 50s.

15 scores 10 or less (inc one*)

If his brain was as cooked as his batting he'd have his own highly popular Telegram channel ranting about Bill Gates, the WEF and Chem Trails.
Are you sure he doesn’t?

Anyone who watched his innings today should know he is done at test level. Mentality. Physically. He’s done. It was 40 deliveries of pure torture. He hit two balls out of the middle his whole innings. He was dropped once and play and missed the rest. Deplorable.

Its sad to see this is how Warners career is ending.

When he first came on the scene straight out of grade cricket to play int that T20, he mentioned dreams about playing test cricket for Australia one day and I laughed, he seemed nothing more than a hit and giggle specialist. But to his credit, he went and worked on his craft in shield cricket and became a very good opening bat for Australia. Proved me wrong and I genuinely enjoyed watching his test career.

His time has obviously passed, and I hoped for his sake he would be able to admit that but doesn't look like it. Now we just pray that the selectors make the right call (which they clearly won't because its a boys club....)

I hope he gets strung along and gets picked for tours but not matches, because we all know he will be straight into the commentary box on retirement. Delaying that as along as possible is a high priority.

Surely they’ve reached their DH quota in the commentary box for Aussie tests

Warner looked at all sea again no surprise really, its easy to look good against the West Indies and South Africa and pat himself on the back against a good bowling attack he was all at sea

he didn't look good against either, aside from that double ton.

Sadly that one double ton against an average bowling attack means he got the pats on the back and its the same story against high quality bowling he gets exposed
Average bowling attack you reckon. Rabada, Jansen, Nortje and Ngidi. All average in the low 20's. Real average.

Davey has scored just 2 test 100s outside of Australia since 2014.

Both were in Bangladesh in 2017.

Now that is absolutely taking the piss if you ask me.

Now he missed 12 months with a sandpaper ban. But in 8 years just one series away from home he has got a 100.

How on earth has that record avoided any scrutiny in the media. It barely gets mentioned.

Horses for courses should have applied to warner many years ago.

It's pretty clear they weren't bowling to the standard their record suggests. Warner averages 45 in test cricket, would you say he's batting to that standard?

According to Malcolm Conn, Warner's spot in the team isn't as secure as some might think.

IMHO, it was always a gamble sending both Khawaja and Warner on tour. Neither of them have great records away. I couldn't believe Head was dropped because of his poor away record... sure, the guy only average in the 20s outside of Australia, but over a pretty small sample size. Warner on the other hand, average a shade over 30, and he's played 45 Tests away.

Their pace attack is a lot better than average. Whether or not they were bowling up to the standard their record suggests relies on many things, especially the batters they are bowling to. It was a great knock and it seems difficult for some people on here to admit it.

His avoided scrutiny due to lack of openers in the country, I had no idea it was that bad.. seriously 6 years since his last Away hundred?
