Jeez, sympathy for Smith & Bancroft and none for Warner??
CA has done a marvellous job of getting the right narrative going.

I don't like Warner, never have, but to tip it all on him is a dog act.
Anybody that thinks they ALL weren't in the know is kidding themselves, especially Boof.

Maybe because generally Smith and Bancroft come across as decent blokes while Warner has acted like a deadset campaigner for the last decade?

Poorly expressed on my part. I feel Warner, like Bancroft and Smith could have spoken to the media just after arriving in Australia. I sympathise to a point with all involved that this will live with them forever.

Bancroft and Smith get off because they are good blokes and Warner gets crucified because he is a terrible bloke?

They all committed the same crime.

One has a list of priors as long as your arm.

There's no surprise the rise the "unsociable Australian's" has coincided with Warner rising in seniority and the likes of Clarke, Haddin, Johnson, Watson and Katich who would not have tolerated his crap have retired.

No one is escaping punishment, but Warner is gaining little sympathy because he’s been a flog over a long period of time, while the others haven’t.

If you have people in your life who have been dickheads around you for the best part of a decade and others who haven’t and stuff up once who will you rate higher?

It’s easier to cop an apology when you know someone’s error was completely out of character.

When an apology comes for something that, while an extreme example of it, befits someone’s character, the sympathy is always going to be somewhat lessened

Belting a guy on field after being dismissed in a grade match shorty before selection in Australia’s t20 side

Punching Joe Root

Basically every on field behavior issue Australia has had over the past 5 years has involved him

Wanting to find hatred of England before the last ashes. (Whatever the hell that meant)

Stupid OLED ads

Sanctimonious crap in relation to ball tampering of Du Plessis

Acting like a twat with cricket Australia then fancying himself as some kind of modern day Che Guevara who has political aspirations

Stupid dismissals in important overseas tests written off as just playing his ‘natural game’

Wanting to belt de kock

Send off of ABDV in Durban

Thinking he was being victimized and persecuted in South Africa for them overstepping his imaginary line he had set


Now some in isolation aren’t that bad but combine them all paints the picture of a complete knob

There's a reason Martin Crowe described him as the most juvenile cricketer he has seen.

People have been making excuses for him since he was a teenager running around cricket fields in Sydney's Eastern Suburbs sledging umpires, opposition players and just generally being a belligerent campaigner.
