Watching how the three re entered Australia, I can’t help but feel whoever advised Warner not to talk and to hide behind his kids was way off the mark.

I don't even like Warner, but this seems deliberate. He is being thrown under the bus as a Bond villain who corrupted the innocent Smith. I don't trust the narrative and I don't like it. As for his return, if you're not going to tell the whole truth, you should probably say nothing. While Smith and Bancroft look better for showing their real pain, the fact they continue to lie about ball tampering in general and hide the truth about the incident in particular will do them no good in the long term.Think warner comes out looking the worst in all this
Wow, That is the most accurate assessment of Warner to date. The late great Martin Crowe wrote in 2015 on cricinfo(quoted today on news.com) and how spot on he was.....
“Warner can play, but he is the most juvenile cricketer I have seen on a cricket field. I don’t care how good he is. If he continues to show all those watching that he doesn’t care, he must be removed,”
“The more he gets away with it, the more others will follow his pitiful actions. Already we see one or two of his teammates enjoying being close to his hideous energy.”

Yeah.
Like I don't condone people going after Warner's wife but once you get into a slinging match someone is going to go below the belt eventually yeah?
So don't get involved if you going to take something personally rather than a retort aimed at getting under your skin.

Warner can't

And if he wins the appeal they can still not select him to play anyway...
I must admit I've had a laugh at some of her tweets, saying the only to redemption is to own the mistake, etc.Does Dave Warner have his own Tracy Holmes to turn to?

That this is not the first time Australia has tampered with the ball, and more than three people know about it. I honestly think you have to be pretty naive to believe otherwise. I have it on good authority that ball tampering takes place at grade level, it's part of the game that no one wants to admit. What is this greater truth you are convinced we haven't uncovered?

Plenty would deny it, but if you believe Brett Geeves its pretty commonplace. He cited instances in Shield cricket where it happened and everyone knew about it. Tried it himself but didn't persist because he realised he was no good at it. As you say, it would be naive to believe it doesn't go on (or at least has gone on) a lot more than we'd care to believe. That this is not the first time Australia has tampered with the ball, and more than three people know about it. This may be the first time Warner chose to use sandpaper, but if he was using other methods before, you can't tell me the wicketkeeper and slip didn't know. The actual method is less relevant than the fact it was happening.I'd agree with the before, but I don't agree with everyone knowing about the sandpaper or that had been done before.
I'm no Warner fan but I can see why he would have wanted the support of his wife and kids there, looks like they basically tour with him full time which is odd in itselfWatching how the three re entered Australia, I can’t help but feel whoever advised Warner not to talk and to hide behind his kids was way off the mark.
Can only talk for my experience but it does happen semi regularly , but in a more subtle manner . Have seen sunscreens , baby ointments usedThat this is not the first time Australia has tampered with the ball, and more than three people know about it. I feel sorry for the bloke.
Made a very stupid decision but it’s been an emotionally charged series. The comments and saga surrounding his wife by the South Africans was out of line and would have influenced his decision.
Does Dave Warner have his own Tracy Holmes to turn to?
You jellyI just hate the fact that Warner never had to grow up and still got fame fortune and a hot wife. So his comeuppance in all of this is the silver lining for me.
