His behaviour had been poor over the years but the sledging he and his wife got in South Africa was appalling and overlooked by the world cricket media.
He’s just going to have to suck it up, put his head down and get on with it.

Let’s remember that Warner started it in SA sledging De Koks sister..... Oh but that doesn’t fit the Australian narrative does it.
Warner obviously thinks it is fine because he gave out similar and he wouldn’t be a hypocrite now would he?
For the record I think crass and distasteful sledging is aporant and is not part of any game.
To say “you can’t bring family into sledging” isn’t the point because what Rod Marsh and Botham said was funny and fair, but then others are not.
For me the line is, are you trying to genuinely mentally upset the opposition or are you trying to be witty and funny and make them lose some concentration. Australian cricket has admitted that we have been trying to do the former, as we call it, ‘mental degradation’. But when we get it back we cry and carry on like bitches saying “mummy mummy they went over the line”. Pffffft, pathetic.
