Past 5 Shield seasons combined Harris averages 57 while Renshaw averages 32, that is what I stated, if your going to attack my brightness at least read the post. made yourself look stupid.

This coming from the guy who said the selectors should drop Cummins, and then a few posts later said he would pick Cummins in the side for the next test.

You compare test against test averages and FC against FC averages.
It's not hard.

If he was a better bat now he'd have better shield form over 5 years then what I've just posted, even this year his made 1 score out of 8 innings, take away his 200 his scored 110 runs in the other 7, three of the past 5 seasons he hasn't even averaged 30, two were less then 22.

I do like how you are taking away Renshaws best scores how about we take away Harris’ runs on the Junction Highway.

Look is Renshaw a certain success no he’s not. However we are looking for two openers for a 2-3 year period before the young openers are ready. He deserves a year then let’s see. That’s more than fair. Least he doesn’t have Langer trying to drop him for no reason.

I'd be putting a line through Harris; he's been exposed at Test level and has not been able to overcome his flaws. His Shield form is good but he is unable to replicate it at Test level. I'd almost say the same for Bancroft. Renshaw's Tests largely came when he was very young, he deserves the opportunity to show he is suited to Test cricket.

Renshaw has more upside than Harris and Bancroft IMO and is younger.

Harris has multiple big scores every season.

Renshaw has 1 or 2 lol, point I'm getting at.

Harris - 23 50+ scores over 5 seasons

Renshaw - 8 50+ scores over 5 seasons

Being consistent is a big part of cricket.

I think what it comes down to is scoring the runs/the timing when a spot becomes available ...and thats up to renners/harris/bancroft/hunt/puck to take there opportunity when its available

No I compared Shield stats over 5 years which again Harris is 57 and without taking any scores away Renshaw is 32.

Thats a big one, helps when a new player gets blooded in a couple easier series. Harris had 2 Ashes tour and 2 India series out of his 5 series.

He's the best young option we have for the top of the order (maybe other than Pucovski). They might have to go back to Bancroft as well, his Test record is probably quite average though.

On the back of what 3 of his past Shield seasons have been bog average (less then 30 average) and the 2 decent seasons he was bog average as well apart from the odd score..

There will probably be at least one if not 2 spots open.

I can't see Puck getting a chance for at least 12 months.

They were too shit scared to make a decision and drop Warner for him, so they forced him into the middle order.
