Re: Zaharkis

He didn't actually play that well ANZAC Day. It's just that one of the few things he did came at an important time.

Re: Zaharkis

Over the course of 4 quarters he was fairly average. His winning goal was obviously a great moment.

It'd be like me claiming John Anthony played well against Adelaide in the semi-final. He didn't, even though he kicked the winning goal.

Awww come on. Thats a funny as hell bump. Doesn't matter if he did or did not play well on Anzac Day! It's ironic!

Re: Zaharkis

But I hate him now :( I can't admit that.

I understand.

Lets just sit quietly for a second and contemplate how much both our sides will demolish Carlton this year....

There.... doesn't that feel better?

Re: Zaharkis

This guy is a spud. Even more so than leaping Leroy Jetta!

I have noticed collingwood 'fans' not just on this board but mates who are pies fans put down zaharakis at every opportunity ever since he kicked that goal.

Collingwood fans and club as a whole have always lacked class but hating a young bloke for having the audacity to kick a winning goal against your club is really something. No wonder we look down on them.

He showed quite alot of promise last year with big games against rich, haw, norf and a rising star nom in his debut against Fremantle. Was dropped when prismall, welsh & mcveigh returned mid year then eventually succumbed to OP.

And looking good in the pre-season. If he can cement that half-forward flankers role, it will help us no end. Leading goal-kicker against Richmond and if he can manage 20 odd goals I'd be stoked.

If he's playing off the HFF I'd be for more than 20 goals. That is less than one a game.

I don't really know what you're on about, but it is fair to say he didn't have much of a game on that day, just a sensational game-winning goal.

At any rate, Zaharakis is a far better prospect than what Toby Thoolen turned out to be, I still don't get why he wasn't taken bottom-aged in 2007. :(

19 possies (13 contested), 2.2 goals against the reigning premiers - the kid is class

This kid is the real deal I believe, good pick up second rounder :)
Hope Carlyle does the same thing.

Also, RangaInTeal is your sig for real? if so F'n hilarious!

Yeah, the bloke is a loose canon, hits them hard in the SANFL, isn't one to get intimidated, plays the body before the ball! He is a gun and old school! Strong hands and great aggression! Debatable wether he punched Stewart or Webb in the face but it was done accidentally out of frustration, or so we are told!
