Probably he's going to fly with them, along with a backup ruckman [Erikson??] and then if Deanne goes into labour he'll fly back. and then... its doomsday for the Swans.
Apparently Baz said something today that he didn't have permission to speak to the media.
Oh Nick. Really, everything he said reflected very positively on the club but if he's been told NOT to speak to the media then he shouldn't have said anything. He's only going to get himself in more trouble. I just want him to have a great game on the weekend and not get himself into anymore trouble that would make the club even think twice about him not playing with the Swans next year.
It's the media trying really hard to find some controversy in what has been a rather dull lead up to the grand final. Normally at this time of the year if it isn't suspension, its injury and the whole drama that comes with the heart break.
But this year, nada. Both teams are primied and ready to go. I havent seen such a dull lead up to a grand final ever i thinks.
So yeah the media are clutching at straws. I am sure they had a giggle (hallyt and the boys) about it and plus what he said in the article was 100% positive.
Yeah i know the media would be desperate for any kind of story (Yesterdays paper had "Goodes is great but girls go ga-ga for Davis on the front page..) but really, Barry did say that Nick wasn't allowed to speak and that he shouldn't have. I don't see how Nick can't understand that. If it's told not to speak, then why do it? Sure, everything he said was positive and showed the club very well but actions speak louder than words. You owe them something? Then go out and prove it on the weekend.. we don't need to hear you say it because at this stage it means absolutely nothing if he doesn't perform on Saturday.
