What time will it be in Australia when matches are played?

I know coverage starts 11.30pm on 7two next Friday night. So around then.

Agreed, a Davis Cup would do absolute wonders for Federer's resume, and with the decent form they are both in, plus an Olympic gold together, it's really now or never.

If Federer manages to pull off his 18th slam at this AO, I would like to see him satisfied and then commit to Davis Cup for 2014.
After how Nadal destroyed him tonight, Davis Cup is his best shot at winning a big tournament.

Djokovic isn't playing, pretty much guarantees a first round loss for serbia

I'm not as confident as you are; I'd take Lajovic over Chiudinelli, and any doubles team with Zimonjic in it will give it a good shake. Assuming Wawrinka wins his two rubbers, I'd have Switzerland and Serbia at 2-2, with it coming down to Krajinovic vs. Chiudinelli, which could go either way.

Djokovic isn't playing? Why?

Probably want to focus on his own career. Shame really, because the Davis Cup should feature the best players from a country.

On paper the Czech's have the strongest team followed by France and maybe Italy. USA looks alright as well. Hopefully we can do well. Nick and Thanasi will have to step up big time. We know what potential they have and experiences like playing in the Davis Cup can really help their development.

Good luck guys! :D

Am curious to see how Hewitt goes against Tsonga on clay. Pretty much the only choice you can do is play Hewitt 3 days when you choose a team like this

Looking forward to our weekend in the world group

Debating whether to stay awake for it tonight

I will, going to bring back all those memories from when we were last in the world group watching Lleyton do his thing.

Surprised Hewitt is playing both singles and doubles. I thought the general consensus was that it's better to rest him from the doubles so he is fresh for the reverse singles. Should have given Kokkinakis a go in the doubles.

Also surprised they didn't replace Tomic with Matosevic

Looking forward to this a lot. I actually give us a chance in both matches tonight. I don't expect us to win either of them, but we're not without a chance at all. Tsonga will give Hewitt all the pace he needs and is the kind of player that Lleyton seems to love coming up against lately, while Kyrgios has the power to really bully Gasquet. Will be good to see how we go.
