I didn't see the kokkinakis match at all yesterday, but watched the Kyrgios match from the 3rd set onwards. He didn't want to be on court. It's a big call to make.

Kokkanakis got solidly thrashed. But he didn't drop his head at least. Kukushkin played excellent tennis in foreign conditions.

Well gone Groth/Hewitt for not choking like last time.

I'd love him to but I just don't think he could win. I am really not sure who we should go with but I wouldn't go with Hewitt.

Kokk won't win so take your pick who is more likely to at least give a contest. Don't trust Groth in a ace contest match with another big server

I would go with Groth against Kukushkin. Groth's serve would make it difficult for Kukushkin to find any real sort of rhythm. Kukushkin has lost his past five tiebreakers and is something like 2-7 in Best of Five Matches that have gone past three sets in 2014/15. If I was Wally I would tell Kyrgios to get on a plane to Miami and go retrieve his balls from Tomic's throat. As for the other tie it comes down to what sort of shape Kokkinakis is in.

What did you make of his performance on Friday? Was it that of our best player?

Unlucky. Lost 2 tie breakers that could have gone either way. Happens.

'I don't want to be here': Nick Kyrgios wilts in the heat of a Davis Cup tie
http://www.theguardian.com/sport/20...-kyrgios-wilts-in-the-heat-of-a-davis-cup-tie

Nick should have beaten the lower ranked guy if he is our best. He has shown no form, and has said he didn't even want to be there. I don't care what his ranking is. Anyone else.

Making 4th round isn't showing any form? I'm confused.

Anyways, you're not wrong it a tough choice, Nick really has every right to feel mentally drained after all this. I almost want to put Hewitt against Kukushkin at let him fight it and whatever happens happens, let him have his chance.

The hell??? He brought everything on himself acting like a complete moron for the last month or so. How can you keep defending him?

He was lucky to get to the 4th round anyway - Raonic was basically playing on one foot.

I honestly don't know who to put in the reverse singles. Nick is not mentally right, The Kokk is badly out of form, not sure if Groth is good enough and I fear Lleyton is too old :$

Groth had a pretty good Wimbledon you know - beat America's big hope in Jack Sock and took a set of Federer on centre court, fighting right to the end.

Nick got carved up in the 4th round and played poorly in the first rubber.

I think of Nick and Bernard in the same way. They play the game because they were told to by their parents. Neither of them seem that passionate about tennis. This is why they are always tripping themselves up, I reckon. Nick made a conscious effort to get embroiled in the Tomic - TA clash. His choice if he is emotionally drained by it.

After today's performance, I wouldnt be suprised at all if both Groth & Hewitt are selected for singles duty tomorrow & Im good with that. Not sure which order tho.

Watching the tie between the UK and France in the doubles. Murrays just win the tiebreaker to go up 2 sets to 1. Exciting stuff and a great atmosphere. Andy is very pumped!
