I disagree. The one time tennis commentators are allowed to be biased is during a Davis Cup match. I'm sure it's the same for most commentary teams covering their teams in a Davis Cup tie.

Go France! (prefer a home semi-final to the tennis Ashes).
It's hard to say who I prefer. France are so strong because they have fantastic depth and their players can play on all surfaces. Whereas GB have Andy and that's it pretty much (though his bro is a very solid doubles player).

Yes, in terms of who I think we have a better chance against I agree with your asessment, we probably have the same chance against either of the teams (albeit for different reasons). But it would be nice to have a home semi. I don't mind either way really, still on a high from actually making the semi

How? GB already have 2 rubbers. Nick even at his best isn't beating Murray. We better win the doubles...and relying on Tomic coming back is iffy to say the least.
As opposed to France, with Gasquet, Monfils, Simon and Tsonga, don't think we'd stand much chance at all tbh.

I'd back us at home against France, would be close though. None of those players Nick couldn't at least match, and you would hope he would win 1 out of 2, same with Tomic.

Obviously, he didn't play 2 singles and doubles a 5 days after Wimbledon to not turn up in a semi final, he can pretty much win this on his own he's massive favourite in both matches against anyone left and he plays with his brother in doubles who's a legitimately good doubles player, they're the favourites to win the whole thing now.
It's probably going to be on indoor hard court and it's more than likely going to be in Scotland.

Depends on who they feel is playing the 2nd rubber. I would probably go clay, purely as Tomic is dreadful on clay, and Nick is hardly great on a clay court.

Surface wouldn't matter to much, but play it in Scotland, the support up their will be much louder and much stronger than they'd get in London due to Murray.
