They just need to put Peers and Ebden together permanently. Ebden is a solid enough dubs player, and if Hewitt just said "that's you're job" then he could build a decent partnership with Peers.

A safe doubles partnership really makes a DC team.

He did lose early at the Aus. German guys are both good serves which makes it tough. I mean look at Groth and Gucc in the doubles, they couldn't even do anything else but it went a long way in DC ties.

Changing it to a 5 man squad makes it possible. The issue with doubles specialists in a 4 man squad is that you have no flexibility in your singles players.
