Neither Thiem or Novak have any pedigree in doubles so they didn't really have a choice. At 2-0 up no point risking Thiem in doubles when he should close it out comfortably in the reverse singles.

Nah, just the mental instability of a Croatian. As soon as he lost that set he was shot and it was match over for him.

Coric is doing the same now in the decider. A set all and leading 5-1 in the third with two breaks and he has shit himself and lost 5 games in a row.
