I dunno about you guys but I felt a weird sense of deja vu on Sunday. Being a Brisbane supporter I felt the same sense of enormous pride as I felt when the Lions beat Sydney in the Preliminary Final...

Brisbane led by 27 points midway through the 3rd quarter.
Philippoussis led 2 sets to love.

Sydney then kicked the next 4 goals to grab the match by the throat and go to three quarter time down by just 3 points, at which point everybody wrote Brisbane off.
Ferrero then won the next 2 sets to grab the match by the throat and go to the chair at 2 sets all, at which point everybody wrote Philippoussis off.

Brisbane, playing injured of course, then came out and turned the match on its head with a blistering final quarter, scoring 6 goals to 0.
Philippoussis, playing injured of course, then came out and turned the match on its head with a blistering final set, winning 6 games to love.

So there you go just some bizarre coincidences that occurred to me while watching that 5th set on Sunday. It just goes to show that in sport (or in life I guess), even when something is impossible, sometimes it still happens. Sometimes it even happens twice in two months!

Ill be there for sure, just trying to figure out if i should go the 1st day or 2nd day, so i can take a sickie from work.
