What a disgrace the ticketing arrangements for the Davis Cup are.

It seems that Tennis Austrlia have followed the 'AFL Guide to screwing the average sports fan' to the letter.

Not only do the tickets cost $325 per person, with no single day passes available, there are only 3500 available out of 15,000!!!

Absolutely pathetic. Apparently the remanining 11,500 tickets have gone to 'tennis associations, special supporter groups and officials.'

It's the AFL Grand Final all over again - with TA even charging $20 to go watch the match on a big screen outside.

Up yours Tennis Australia

GOALden Hawk,

Where did you hear that they were allocated like that?

If that's true then I agree with you 100%. A disgrace!

Sadly they know there will people like myself who have waited to see a home Davis Cup final for years and will pay the money, most likely getting back row seats.

Page 10 of today's Hun...in the article on tickets going on sale for the World Cup Qualifier.

Incidentally the allocation for the Australian Open isn't much better, the general public only has access to the upper level on centre court - but at least there are other matches outside and they aren't slugged $325 for it.

Thanks GH,

Apparently they're expected to sell out in minutes. I'll either get tickets to the Davis Cup Final or save $295. It's not all that bad.

Rip,

I knew I shouldn't have nominate Afghanistan with my Davis Cup club support package. Hopefully I'll get the tickets in the ballot then. ;)

HAHAHAHAH!!!! LOL...that's very funny Sainter!

Let us know if you do manage to get tickets and where you are sitting. I'd love to go - but having already spent $120 on the soccer games in November and purchased Foxtel, my sporting budget only stretches so far.
