The first tie of the year was fairly quiet and almost went un-noticed, but I just wanted to say well done to the Aussies for beating Equador 4-1 at Royal Kings Park in Perth. Bring on Brazil!

Looking forward to seeing Rafter with his head shaved for charity

Sun protection? It seems to be the opposite of that. He seems to sweat and subsequently cramp more when he has a beard.

I getting too scientific.

I say, just get rid of the bloody thing.

Who cares? Who knows when Davis Cup actually starts and ends? From what I can see all countries are continually playing off, then someone wins and one month later it all starts again. Besides, the only country that gives a toss is Australia.

I heard/read somewhere that the winner of the previous year can still somehow move onto the second round of the Davis Cup even if they lose in their opening round. But I think our biggest threat will come from France again.

Meg it aint the money not for players like Agassi and Sampras. They have enough of it, to them its the title they want. They want to win, both Agassi and Sampras are amazingly competitive, money means nothing anymore. In there young days im sure it would have been a factor but not now.
