going off of the rumours and talk on bigfooty the top 10 might look like this in a Phantom Draft

1. GC - Matthew Rowell
2. GC - Noah Anderson
3. Melb - Caleb Serong
4. Adel - Sam Flanders
5. GWS - Tom Green (matched bid from Syd or Adel, but i chose Syd here)
6. Syd - Dylan Stephens
7. Frem - Deven Robertson
8. Melb - Brodie Kemp
9. Frem - Liam Henry (matched bid from Carlton, also bid could come from Melb)
10. Carl - Lachlan Ash

interesting to see how bigfooty views the top 10 picks and who each club wants
Personally i think GWS / Melb will do a trade to avoid using the #6 to match a green bid

So Melbourne are going to give up pick 3 for pick 6 & what else?....Next year's first?

The Giants have picks 40, 59 & 60 after pick 6 & even those 3 combined with next year's second won't get it done.

My point is, the Giants only option to get it done, is to trade away next year's first.....Effectively shooting themselves in the foot next year in order to get an extra gun this year.

Getting points to cover bids is easy and it will only be around 500 points to cover

Why would the GWS trade their 2 first rounder for pick #6 when they were going to use it on a bid for green ?

You seem confused here....The Giants are looking to upgrade to pick 3 by trading 6 to Melbourne & next year's first in order to get it done.....That way they can then pick up a Top 3 gun & Green also.

So effectively 2 Top 4 guns this year for pick 6 & next year's first, say pick 16 at a guess.....Is it enough to tempt the Demons?....It Probably is.

A 3 pick down-grade & another first for 2020....That's called working the system for mutual advantage.

If Young is still on board at the bulldogs pick, I hope Brisbane are on the phone to do a pick trade.

Surely Weightman makes it past Geelong and Gold Coast to pick 16 if we make a trade.

If a bid comes that early for Henry won’t freo just use 22 and 58 to match it, so they can keep their other top 10 pick.

No, you have no choice but to use your next live pick.....Hence, the Giants need/desire to trade up so they don't have to use 6 for Green.....I can certainly see the Demons bidding on Henry at 8, far more than they would waste such an early pick on Weightman....Henry is the best small forward in this draft for mine. Though there is the go-home factor to consider.

Pick 16+ next year gets them another top-5 talent this year.

Yep....Though they'll lose all their other point picks this year & go into massive deficit next year in order to do it.

They are certainly one club in a position to do that....They can trade out more peripheral talent next year in order to make up the points leeway.....2020 problems I suppose.

All that's left to do is to convince one of Melbourne or Adelaide to swap pick 3 0r 4 for 6 & their 2020 First....Can't see Sydney doing it & pick 5 is likely too late anyhow.

We’re not going to draft any KPP’s. We just delisted a perfectly good KPP utility in Josh Walker because we have to many in our reserves atm.

Our recruiters and GM David Noble keep saying we’re looking for run from the backline, mids with pace, and we’re looking at one academy draftee. And we’re likely only to take four picks to the draft.

I’m fine with Bianco (really hoping Gould slides one more pick) and Bergman at our first two picks.

Rantall or Philp really are the type of mid we look for. Someone coming from a way back, who still has plenty of improvement left in them. A kid who potentially spends to years in the reserves improving their skills, before making a debut.

Do you understand this is a phantom draft top 50 based on available picks - It's irrelevant how many selections Brisbane ultimately make.

Nice set of names/Numbers and you have my preferred player for Richmond at #19= Coope Stephens so really hope this happens
But i just cant see how Richmond would not select Sam De koning 3 times with #38,#39 +#41

i have you taking Hilder instead of De Koning, drafting 2 KPD's in 1 draft is a bit overkill imo.

also i think i made a small error in Rosas Jnr now recently being tied to Gold Coast with the changes that happened a couple of weeks ago...

I could see the eagles taking a kpd in this draft. Im hoping its not with their first pick tho.weve got young edwards on the rookie list tracking along nicely and lack midfield depth so hoping we can address that first
