3. Neocleous - Gipps - 3.1, 19 disp 2 marks 7 tackles
4. Berry - Gipps - 12 disp 1 mark 8 tackles
5. Connolly - Gipps - 19 disp 3 marks 1 tackle

9. Pepper - Gipps - 25 disp 3 marks 3 tackles

mentions: Comben, Prowd, Horo, Kellett, Rocci, Kennedy, Cassar, Jeka, Failli

Gippsland were too strong for Western, Serong, Flanders were strong in patches, Neocleous had a day out with 3 goals and playing the best i have seen from him, Berry was solid also and Connolly provided a lot of drive from half back, Sparkes was dangerous at times off the wing and Andrews really carried Western's midfield on his back all season.

Pepper looks to be a solid rookie pick for us at this stage....Improved his output as the season progressed....Happy for us to take him as an NGA rookie.

What's your feeling on Garner Davo….Worth a rookie Spot?....Seems to have regressed more than anything.

That's a shame...He was projecting well ahead of Maginness some 2 years ago, & was said to be the pick of the brothers at that stage.

And F/S Tom Graham?...Any chance at all of a late rookie slot?....Did he do enough in the finals to warrant a selection, given he's a mature-ager?

I’ve watched both Garner boys through their juniors and I always thought Joel was the better of the two. Joel was more consistent and impactful.

I think people got their hopes up a bit because when Joel was drafted, he said he wasn't even the best player in his family, or words of that nature.

3. Bianco - Oak - 27 disp 6 marks 5 tackles
4. Chirgwin -Sand - 22 disp 6 marks 5 tackles

11. Graham - Oak - 3.0, 16 disp 4 marks 2 tackles

mentions: Mastras, Zagari, Schreiber, Jenkins, Stahopoulos, Bryan, Varagiannis, Yorke, Byrnes, Bergman, Bowey, Mackay, Burke

Oakleighs 3 top prospects this year (Rowell, Bianco + Anderson) and 2 top prospects next year (Phillips and Ugle-Hagan) were too strong for Sandringham with Chirgwin leading the way for the defeated, the way Oakleigh used the ball was top knotch and this is 2 years in a row Oakleighs ball movement has been the best in the competition.

Maginness tagged out of it?

Best Players:

3. R.Baldi - Gipps - 0.1, 23 disp 5 marks 4 tackles

5. Parker - East - 23 disp 6 marks 4 tackles
6. Downie - East - 1.0, 18 disp 3 marks 1 tackle
7. Serong - Gipps - 2.1, 21 disp 4 marks 6 tackles
8. Berry - Gipps - 21 disp 3 marks 6 tackles
9. Jaworski - East - 2.0, 10 disp 6 marks 1 tackle
10. Mellis - East - 21 disp 4 marks 4 tackles

13. Clarke - East - 1.0, 17 disp 5 marks 1 tackle
14. Pretty - East - 16 disp 1 mark 2 tackles

mentions: Rossiter, McCormack, Sonsie, Gawel, Keeling, Angwin, Papley, Neocleous, Hourigan, Vander Plight, F.Phillips, Sparkes

Gippsland needed more from Serong and just relied too heavily on their top 4-5 players, whereas Eastern had more players contributing and were a lot sharper in front of goal, also better at creating opportunities to kick goals, Flanders fought hard all game, Pepper played one of his best games all year, Baldi tried hard, for Eastern it was a spread of performances, with most players having some good efforts in creating momentum.

What's the deal with Jaworski Davo?....Is he the son or a relative of Bohdan Jaworski who played for Hawthorn in 1973/1974?

Did some nice things in the Grand Final that caught my eye....Under ager or over-ager?

i dont know if he is related to anyone in the football industry, he is in this years draft pool and might get picked up late? he wasnt as consistent as i would like, but he has got some talent.

P.S. he didnt get a combine invite (national or state) so probably unlikely to get drafted.

Think D'Intinosante is more of a rookie chance then National Draft imo, I think Philp could go anywhere from 2nd round to 4th round as well

u17 Futures - All Star Game

1. Hollands
2. Bowey
3. Phillips
4. Gulden
5. Downie
6. Ford
7. Davies
8. L. Edwards
9. Collins
10. Crozier

12. O'Driscoll

mentions:
Durdin, Green, Carroll, Macrae, Maher, Western, Campbell, B.Coleman, Schofield, Jeffrey, McInness, N.Stevens, McDonald, Morris

Team Brown were stacked and won 102-61, very good game, there seems to be a lot of interstate talent which might make up for the lack of Victorian Talent next year? high level game and not many passengers which is a good sign, a few players impressed and a couple were a bit disappointing, but a good test of the talent for 2020 draft and a bit more insight into how they perform against a higher level of opposition.

just went through who i predict will be in the top 2 rounds for next years draft and about 1/3 of the players in the top 35 or so players are aligned to clubs via F/S or Academies, along with the lack of Victorian depth at the top end it could be a bit rough on depth of talent in the open market? i guess we'll see how it pans out next season?

the way in which Josh Kellett 178cm 73kg (Western Jets) WB F/S finished the year, i wouldnt be surprised to see WB rookie him or match a late bid on him, he was very good in the back half of the year and in the finals.

going off of the rumours and talk on bigfooty the top 10 might look like this in a Phantom Draft

1. GC - Matthew Rowell
2. GC - Noah Anderson
3. Melb - Caleb Serong
4. Adel - Sam Flanders
5. GWS - Tom Green (matched bid from Syd or Adel, but i chose Syd here)
6. Syd - Dylan Stephens
7. Frem - Deven Robertson
8. Melb - Brodie Kemp
9. Frem - Liam Henry (matched bid from Carlton, also bid could come from Melb)
10. Carl - Lachlan Ash

interesting to see how bigfooty views the top 10 picks and who each club wants
