A team potentially bidding on Campbell before Sydney’s first pick may not be about wanting Campbell, but more to force Sydney to trade both their 2020 and 2021 picks to move ahead of the potential bid, i.e a play to accrue an extra future draft pick.

That is the thing as lets say North really wanted Sydney's pick, they could probably get it by bidding on Campbell as the Swans would be desperate to get that pick out, likely in exchange for a 2021 first rounder.

I might be a bit harsh on Corey Durdin, I liked him in bursts in last years carnival, has great speed and I remember a big run and goal he had against VC in Geelong i believe, having seen his good performance against NZ and him becoming more regular for central districts in the sanfl, i will have to include him in the top 50 somewhere, my knocks on him were height and a lack of disposals, but he is very clean with poss and has impressive speed, could be a valuable mid draft option?

Would he suit Norths need for a small forward?

Did Bruhn play in this game... , I have not watched it all but didn't see any #4 running around..?

It seemed like Bruhn, Baldwin and O'Driscoll did not play, im pretty sure both Bruhn and Baldwin were still out with long term injuries, but in the squad, 25 of the 28 squad played in the game though.

Would he suit Norths need for a small forward?

Its hard to categorise him, he is around the 173cm mark, he doesn't seem like a pressure forward or a 2 goal a game forward, he is somewhere in between, he oozes class and speed, so could develop into one of those roles, a knock on him is that he doesn't win enough of the footy, but i think he is too good not to get an opportunity at AFL, although in saying that, we don't know how many draft spots there are for this draft pool as list sizes are likely to reduce.

I love DGB but if their is a position we have more than enough of its intercept markers.

Some real head scratchers in there.

Gold Coast really need a KPD. A genuine tall defender at that. Not sure if DGB is the type they need. If Nikolas Cox has the frame to fill out, I can see him being their pick. Looks like Dew is really looking for elite kicks in most of his defenders.

Similarly, Sydney need a tall forward I would have thought.

Two talls for North? I’m guessing you’re thinking Callow down back.

Gold Coast have Collins, Ballard and Lukosius, i dont think they are in need of tall defenders

Sydney always trade for kpp's, i assume they will try again soon enough

North need talls, their tall defenders and forwards are retiring or just run out of juice, Callow can play at both ends because of his combination of aerial and ground game imo.

Collins is undersized fir genuine tall forwards. And Lukosius is more a very tall flanker and possibly moves to a wing.

They’re still looking for an Andrews type defender.

Not in any way can I see a bid for Luke Edwards coming that high and no way will Lachlan Jones get to pick 21 before a bid comes. I'm thinking you're basing both those 2 there having not seen them play this season?

Just a difference of opinion, no need to be rude Bicks, why don't you start up a thread, you have a lot of opinions on the draft talent.

Was I the only one that thought Hollands and Edwards were unlucky not to be AA in the 2019 champs? Edwards has been stuck in the u18s for most of the season, but i would have him on equal standing or thereabouts with Jones imo.

Jesus if you class that as being rude you're pretty delicate.

Rubbish, I've at least watch every game they've played this season via my digital pass....tbf
I'm not claiming you haven't? :tearsofjoy: Just thought I'd put some possible reason behind why Davo might have seen what you said to be rude

Don't worry about Bicks/Mutineer, if you're not associated with afldraftcentral he will critique everything you do or type.
