Being told it’s 2 in the new CBA but then there’s a link to the AFL site saying it’s 3. It’s confusing, guess we will find out tomorrow

AFL rules, Feb 2023:
CBA (Sep 2023) agrees with this. Emphatic that list size is limited to 44.
But... player's draft guide says:
"three extra players"
It's been a debate on the Carlton board, as we currently (after today's draft) have:
36 senior
5 rookie
1 Cat-B
We also have been clear that we're taking another rookie tomorrow.
But - a couple of months back, we signed two Irish players. One of them will take the second Cat-B spot. The other (Matt Duffy) - who knows? He did an ACL at the start of October. Did we list him? Dunno. If we did, it'd be a 3rd Cat-B spot, and with tomorrow's rookie, will take us to 45 listed players. No idea how this works.
Really wish the AFL would publish list lodgments. Know idea why they don't.
The Cat B rookie quota was cut from three down to two during Covid - the same time the combined senior/A rookie list size was trimmed by two.
References to three Cat B players in documents likely haven’t been edited in the last few years.
Also, you can only have one Irishman at a time on the Cat B list. So if a club has signed two, one has to fill a Cat A spot even if that club doesn’t have any other Cat B rookies from other sources.

i was unsure on Murphy, even though i rated him late first early 2nd i mentioned earlier in the year he has a chance of being a KPD bust as his athleticism is a concern(then the combine confirmed my suspicions) which has been an issue with previously high rated KPDs (him sliding as he did wasnt a huge shock, but i hope he improves on that part of his game and makes it), Simpson i think is ok, he has been up and down in my rankings since early 2022, he is fine at 30 something in the draft, probably the earliest in his range for me, i liked the value of Delean, so for me it was an average draft from my pov.
