Yep have Will to come back + Levi and Marshall next year. Think there may be a top 10 academy mid as well in '25

That’s fine but you can’t play with an entire team of mids on the field. Take him by all means but then they have to trade out someone like LUD who has enough high end capital to acquire a decent tall. Trying to trade Will Phillips at this point wouldn’t cut it - they have to cut loose an A-grade mid for capital if they draft yet another mid in Smille.Yeah, trading down and taking multiple player's who fill more pressing needs makes some sense, but taking a 195cm beast with skill and some acceleration makes way more sense imo. Hardest thing to find are A+ talents
Wasn't asking with us in mind, just more a general question with how many kids they already have in those positions.Yep have Will to come back + Levi and Marshall next year. Think there may be a top 10 academy mid as well in '25
Pretty sure Douglas is 2006 born so will be in the national draftCouple of tassie boys, Lenny Douglas and Geordie Payne (possible MSD) thoughts Davo-27
ask to be traded where?Wasn't asking with us in mind, just more a general question with how many kids they already have in those positions. Going to be soon when players like Will Phillips, Tom Powell, Eddie Ford, etc start asking to be traded out, because North have traded in players who also play in the same positions in 2021, 2022, 2023 and 2024.
Would be a mid season option I’d think? There was interest in Payne from a few clubs last year, there's a chance he gets picked up or else he will have to try state league footy?
Yep he will be, it was Geordie the MSD.Pretty sure Douglas is 2006 born so will be in the national draft
I'm judging him mostly on his key defender form over the last 2 years, have not seen his midfield form this year, but by all reports he is a much better midfield prospect than defender. Can I ask why you have Bo Allen so low?
Seems the prototypical big mid/flanker that teams are now leaning into.
He hasn't come onto my radar, so I haven't noticed him standing out in any game I've seen. What are your thoughts on Cannon Kayne Rutley? kicked 5 as an underage last year but just hasn't got going in 2024.
Both played welled today in Tassie's big win today. Lenny and Sulzberger are our best chances in the draft this year.Couple of tassie boys, Lenny Douglas and Geordie Payne (possible MSD) thoughts Davo-27
Lenny was always a very crafty type. He'll be a later pick at this stage, could fly up with a good champs. Geordie won't make it to the champs with mid season draft in my opinion, will get picked up. Sulzberger looks good too, albeit know more about the rest who i played with, and against. Both played welled today in Tassie's big win today. Lenny and Sulzberger are our best chances in the draft this year.
I don't know what Davo thinks but for mine rookie at this point, hasn't made even the early SA State squad or the final cut State Squad for the Nationals starting next week against the Allies which is a fair indicator of where they're rated at this point. It would appear he will need to elevate his form to get drafted at this point, of course that's not out of the question but he looks to be coming from a fair way back.Hey Davo, nice work. Have you seen enough of Jack Michalanney to have an opinion on whether he'd be worth picking up late in the draft, or potentially as a rookie?
Cheers Mutineer, figured as much. Hopefully he can put himself into contention in the back half of the year.I don't know what Davo thinks but for mine rookie at this point, hasn't made even the early SA State squad or the final cut State Squad for the Nationals starting next week against the Allies which is a fair indicator of where they're rated at this point. It’s a very even top 50. I’d still have Smillie at pick 1. And I reckon Otis Harvey has a spot in the top 50 as well.Updated top 50

Do you think Kerr's ACL rules him out of being drafted this year? (happened last week in school footy) He's a real mature kid and will come back better than ever, but this no doubt would be in the back of his mind. Wonder if the pies have seen enough one way or another.Updated top 50

Bo Allan isn’t on that list but he goes top 50 easily. Played the first two round at WAFL league level before injury has hit.
Not that it moves the needle a hell of a lot on the WA crop.
