Not excessive, $10/month but I just think it’s rubbish to lump it in with the league streaming cost. These boys shouldn’t cop paywalls for exposure, it should be available to as many as possible and it’s hardly going to move the needle in regard to subscription revenue. How much is it mate?
Mentioned him a few times but Husein El-Achkar will end up being drafted. Being 171cm (as of 2024) may be a hindrance but he has a fair bit of Shai Bolton about him.
Watch this space from the Essendon NGA prospect
hope your watching this year matei looked for him in the Sandy final and El-Achkar had some traits, but im not sold on him yet, i need to see more, i thought Carled El-Khodr from Calder showed something and had pace and skill, but i need to see more of them and they didnt stand out in other games i saw of Calder that they played in, in my lists they are either guys who stood out at u16s Champs or had a good group of games in 2024 that i saw, so theres usually a handful i miss because i dont see every game OR over rate because they fall off after the u16s, a good example was Phoenix Hargraves who looked top tier at the u16s in a strong SA u16s team and was so much more influential in the games, then he put on a bunch of muscle and became less agile and quick, puberty made him stronger but at the cost of athleticism, which might have cost him a shot at AFL...

Davo-27, Can I ask a question, I saw you posted at the start of the thread, that Hodge will be one of the players you will be keeping an eye on this year, for next year.
Do Brisbane have any highly rated kids that are draft age next year in their academy, that may push Hodge to us(Hawks). As Brisbane will prioritise getting them over Cooper that you will be looking out for this year.
There’s a Brisbane fan called Briztoon who post here and on the lions draft forum.
If I recall correctly he reckons the lions have 3 NGA players on Cooper year, that the lions rate more than our father son.
Apparently cooper plays tomorrow
Boys play GWS at Springfield tomorrow, Sunday at 11:30am.
I've been busy, but I will catch up on every game of CTL until half the squads go to school footy at the end of round 4/5, so when I catch up on the games I will share my thoughts.Davo-27 where are you mate ?
Looking forward to you reports today on what vic team's you watched today
Could you give a couple of names that are at the top end of the draft who provide outside run and ball use. At this early stage I feel this is the type of player that Richmond are missing from their current mix coming through the midfield and off HB. Thanks in advance.83 kids to watch next year

i see him as a goal kicking winger who can also run off half back, decent passing, not elite, good penetration on his kicking but loves breaking the line with run, his type isnt usually top 10 unless they are elite kicks, so i would say something in the range of 15-35, he seems like a mid-late first round type of player, but thats a guess at what clubs think, positive points are his run and carry and goal kicking, getting 35 touches adds another bonus attribute if he can keep it up as an accumulator and accumulator usually means good endurance. (kicked 3.9 last season so isnt as deadeye in front of goal, could improve on that a little, he gets into good positions to have long shots though) one of the best half dozen coming out of WA this season and WA have one of the strongest groups this year i believe.Where do you see Toby Whan ?
I have already stated I Believe he is top ten this year
Today against Peel he had 35 possession's was utterly dominate
35 possession's 8 inside 50's 5 Tackles kicked 2.2 goals should of had 4 goals
That left foot is a weapon will win games for Freo with his kicking
I want WCE to bid on him

Nice mate...good balanceOK so i watched a bit of footy this weekend, i still have some catching up to do, but i think i can put out an early list for people to talk about, criticise and ponder
i think the most impressive prospect this season has to be CDT and with Sharp not at his best and a few others also having slow starts, i think he has jumped to early pick 1 favouritism, Greeves hasnt been as dominant as i would have expected, some new names have stepped up, others have fallen short, so here is my first attempt this year at some rankings, enjoy

I think Geesu could break into my top 50 as I've liked him for the last 2 years and have previous highly ranked him, but I havnt seen the Brisbane Academy play this year, maybe when they play CTL or State games I can see how they have come on, Harrison was a dark horse, Bridge I wasn't his biggest fan, I don't think I've ever rated him too highly even though people have pushed his name, Moss I liked as an overager at the u16s, but I need to see more examples of his game.Jared Moss, Raph Geesu, Harrison Bridge and Jack Harrison appear to have dropped off your radar?
I see Jack Harrison has been in and out of Lions u18s, so that makes sense - but the other 3 played full academy series. Where are they at? Reports Geesu in particular is going pretty well.
Every game I see Duursma in, there's at least 3 of his team mates/opponents I prefer, that doesn't scream pick 2 to me, but clubs and media are getting excited about himIt’s always nice to see people going against the grain.
If Duursma available at 2, I’d sure as hell hope we pick him
Any reason Noah Hibbins is down to 18?
Hunter Wright in the 40s would be a steal to imho

Any concerns with Rodriquez’s 6 possession senior debut for STH Freo?
The problem is, the champs poses exactly the same problem for those kids that are not top of the tree in their position and many are played out of position to fit in the side. You just have to look at each game on an individual basis relative to the strength of the league and the position.State footy performances are over rated from recruiters pov imo, i care about championships much more, because i think its a higher tier of competition because you have dozens of future AFL Stars playing each other versus a bunch of so-so types with the odd AFL experienced player here and there at State League Level (usually low tier, but some actually good) and the young players usually get put in non ideal positions as debutants having to adapt to a new team structure... its nice when they perform, but not a huge issue as long as they look like they belong in their few disposals.
