You are paying him far to much, and want Young, you will be happy to get him off your books so he doesnt spend half the season in the seconds on 350K

All reports are Young is staying, and Dawes has never languished in our reserves, if he didn't do it with Leigh Brown he wont do it with Lynch

He will get to Melbourne for very little if that's how Melbourne wants to play it. Yes he is contracted but he wants out and Bucks wants him gone after his dummy spit. Paying 20 will get it done easy.

As stated on 'The Age', Wellingham was traded for pick 17, so Dawes should be around the pick 20 mark if Collingwood are at all consistent.
Rivers deal looks close to being finalized by mid week, so we should also see Ray and Pederson come across as well.

Who is paying better than pick 20 ?Next best offer is Bullies with 21,so you can take 20 (which is overs ) or p155 off.Bending teams over just because your Collingwood wont happen , take pick 20 or something less because nobody will offer up anything better.
I am sure Dawes 0.8 goals a game would make all the difference to the Carlton forward line. I can't believe that pick 20 is on the table for a guy that got dropped in round 22 after disappointing for pretty much an entire season.

People are ignorant to the fact that at this stage we are not in a position to poach massive names in the trading period and apart from Goddard and Tippett who was exactly a big fish this year that doesn't want to come to to the MFC?
I've been against getting Dawes from the get go, but at this point there are not a lot of other options out there, if we can manage to perform well on the field in 2013 then we will be in a better position to land an A-grader. I'm confident that guys like Dawes, Byrnes and Pedo if we get them, will definitely help. They won't be the clubs saviors by any means, but they will hopefully bring us closer to building a premiership side
