Was just looking at needs and I see walker more as a forward than ruck...
Walker probably - as you suggest - leads the pack - but for some reason I wasn't thinking of him in the ruck..

I really think if they elevate anyone it's more likely to be Walker and, if necessary, they can use either him or someone else as a short-run back-up ruck. Though from the club's comments at the end of last year, they rate him more highly as a ruckman than do most posters.
They clearly seem to be grooming Bathie long-term as a KPD, so I doubt they'll want any interruptions in what is essentially a crash course in footy.
I can't even imagine they'll elevate and use Blicavs in the ruck after 5 games of senior footy in his entire life; his opponents would have genuine tears of remorse in their eyes as he was stretchered off (because they would have liked him to stay out there longer :D ).

Your points on Walker are very well served. I've liked Bathie's progress all along and Walker has been none to shabby either. Both are projects for sure. I figured with Walker's age being so young they might test Bathie first to see whether he will make it and leave Walker till Rd 12....

Both are worthy in my mind.... Guess you could state a case for all the Rooks really....

I think they all look like they might be footballers. Some of them might just have trouble finding a position to make their own, but it often just depends on being in the right place at the right time, and it sometimes happens to be a position nobody has even thought of.

You could argue about who the more speculative pick was (Walker as standard rookie, Bathie as mature aged other sport guy) but the club are looking for long-term options rather than 5-6 year players. Walker's preseason last year was by all accounts highly successful and he'll only get better for the next 4-5 years minimum. Bathie... Maybe is already as physically good as he'll get?

Yep thats what i ment:oops:.At least not at center bounces.
I think you mean "centre" - at least that is what I'm hoping. :p

Sorry, I honestly couldn't stop myself.

He probably meant at the pivot.

No-one likes a smart-arse Fred...hang on...

That explains why I have no disciples...I mean...followers.

I'm glad I didn't have you pair of Barry Joneses correcting my homework I'd still be in the 3rd grade.
I'd suggest if that is the case then your teacher should have been more diligent. ;)

Neither yet, as Varcoe and Menzel have gone onto it.

Sssssooooooooooooooooo

We could potentially upgrade 2 more to the senior list ( at cost I presume) if required or desired...

from

Eardley, Bathie, Sheringham, Burbury, Eardley and Eardley.

What a crowded senior list we have.. or will have.....

Except Cowan will presumably come off in the near future.
