@AFL_PKeane: Zac Dawson can accept 2 games, striking Jeremy Cameron.
Toby Greene, Jeremy Cameron, David Mundy, Zac Dawson can all accept melee fines.

@AFL_PKeane: Hayden Crozier cleared contact M Buntine – contact caused by circumstances outside control of Crozier and could not be reasonably foreseen.

3 down to 2 I assume?

EDIT: Just saw above tweets, it is 3 down to 2. Thought he might get away with 2 down to 1 with a bit of luck going his way. That's him out for the Derby now as well. What an idiot.

If it is 3 reduced to 2 with an early plea that is exactly what I expected and he cannot argue.

Play Taberner again this week with Pearce Back. Hopefully Silva is right to go for the Derby after a week in the WAFL. Otherwise maybe play Silva if he is further along than we realise, he could start against the Saints and possibly sub him out and throw Mayne back and Weller up forward when we do.

Zac Dawson, Fremantle, has been charged with striking Jeremy Cameron, GWS Giants, during the first quarter of the Round 18 match between Fremantle and the GWS Giants, played at Domain Stadium on Sunday August 2, 2015.

In summary, he can accept a two-match sanction with an early plea.

Based on the video evidence available and a medical report from the GWS Giants Football Club, it was the view of the panel the incident should be classified as careless contact with high impact to the head. The offence was classified as a three-match

Well, A. Pearce back to defence then. Really, really hoping Johnson is ready for the Derby as well now. I reckon Dawson's written himself out of contention this year.

Maybe if it was anybody but Zac. Ross just loves him too much - and with some reasonableness. The guy is a proven performer in the heat of big games on bigger bodies and (normally) does exactly what is asked of him. I doubt his season is over.

Can A Pearce play forward with Dawson or Johnson in the team? Probably not.

Will A Pearce get enough practice playing forward after missing the opportunity over the next weeks? Doubtful.
This is why it has hurt us so much.

Does A Pearce offer more in defence than Dawson? I think so.

I know JC had a blood nose and all, but can we argue it wasn't high impact? He wasn't knocked unconscious. Other players (Buddy) have received less after sending people off the ground with concussion.

That being said, the game is all about image and perception, and blood is not a good look for the game. (Unless you're Joel campaigner Selwood, in which case you're lauded as some sort a legend.)

Ty Vickery, Richmond, has been charged with charged with engaging in rough conduct against Michael Jamison, Carlton, during the first quarter of the Round 15 match between Richmond and Carlton, played at the MCG on Friday July 10, 2015.

In summary, due to an existing poor record, his two-match suspension would remain at a two-match penalty if he accepted an early plea.

Based on the video evidence available and a medical report from the Carlton Football Club, it was the view of the panel the incident should be classified as careless conduct with medium impact to the head. This offence was classified as a two-match sanction. The player has an applicable bad record which increases the penalty to a three-match sanction. An early plea can reduce the penalty to a two-match sanction.

Ty got 2 weeks when he knocked the player out o_O

What a silly campaigner. Dawson FFS - perfect time to come back into the team but you get a rush of blood and then your brain farts:drunk:. You could see him improve as he game wore on.
He'll be back into the side because he is too good to leave out plus I think Ross loves him.

I'm not surprised he got two weeks. I suggest he gets a hair cut as penance.

Yeah probably bit premature on my part, it would just be a massive shame for A. Pearce to lose his spot at the closing stages of the season when he's given so much.
