Medvedev is a hard court specialist. The guy will always be a factor on that surface for a while yet.

Especially on the fast US hard courts he’s a nightmare to play over there and he hates the crowd which is hilarious

Not even Djokovic's won an Olympic gold!

Well, Zverev would be in the final of the Australia Open and a US Open Grand Slam winner.....
If the men played Bo3 sets at slam level

Zverev stopped the golden slam that year. Novak was unbeatable til that match.

Mate, I wouldn’t be putting Tsitsipas in there anymore. He’s becoming an easy beat by round 3-4.
He was runner up only 12 months ago. No one was beating Novak in 2023 with the determination & revenge he had.
Tsitsipas has been poor since then but time is on his side. Only what 26?

Has been awful since he got rid of Scud as coach was a weird call. Been awful since

Yeah that's true. He was good for him, not sure if the old man is what he needs.
I just have a soft spot for him purely because of his single backhand. Not many out there since the great man.
Thiem always injured and Stan almost at the end.

Fathers coaching players never work, it is smart to separate family from your career in tennis, love to know the last successful one, people will say Nadal but he’s always had a coach too and that’s despite Toni being an outstanding coach in his own right

Thats not even his father, Toni is his uncle

I would have had Tsitsipas as a monty to win the French post Nadal / Djokovic but all the top young guys coming through (Alcaraz, Sinner and Rune) are good on clay so he would really need to turn it around quickly.

If tsitsipas want to progress, he should consider hiring a professional coach. I don't know if his dad has ever played tennis?

Don’t think it matters should separate family with coaching does not work

Zverev's forehand broke down terribly in the fifth set where he missed the easiest of shots on multiple occasions - You won't hear anymore about the Zverev's DV allegations until after his trial - The ATP had an investigation into the Pavlychenko claims which found they were unsubstantiated and the current case is in the legal system. The ATP has done nothing in the last 2 years and if they do anything it will be after the appeal in may.

Sinner is an interesting case. He eschewed the juniors and came up through the challenger and futures system which necessitated many beatings over the years until his body and mind matured.

LP the last father and player relationship to work was probably Bartoli winning Wimbledon with her father being her coach. Its not working for Gracia who had so much success without her father, she now has her father back as coach and its not working. Gauff got rid of her dad and has now got coaches and its working a lot better.
