Ok lets look at our form lately. We have won some of the games by just doing enough, case in point Saturdays game. On Saturday, we had quiet players like Black, J. Carr (first half), Elvis, Pav (chuckle), Wiz and Parker (tarranted). If these players lift we will do ok.

Are the Eagles players feeling the effects of a long season?, is their backline being exposed?, have they been trying to "protect" injured players?. Only time will tell.

This is what I'm suspecting and why I think we are in with a good chance. FRESH, that's what it's all about come this point in the season. Due to med-long term injuries happening earlier in the season, these players esp M Carr and Walker are fresh. WCE appear a bit drawn and running out of puff.

We can nearly match them on Subi oval when they are at full strength, as was proven in the first derby this year, and we are in better shape than they are now. One thing that worries me is that it's being played on the big friday night stage, the players need to stay focused and come out strong!

6 in a row! Freo by 22pts! :)

Six weeks ago we were out and gone. All the "howlers" were calling for blood and you were one of them.

I am a CC fan as he has done a great job. The club is financially sound and has a good squad. He also has Freo peaking at the right time and has them into the 8.

The Eagles are very beatable and Freo will be do it this weekend.

Freo will be playing finals footy. What more do you want!!!!!
a flag would be nice been waiting for a long time gunna be waiting for a lot longer with cc there

We all have been waiting for that "elusive" flag for a long time.

But all Freo supporters must be feeling good. We have turned the corner and are in the top 8. We have had five good wins on the trot. CC has the team playing great footy and we are ready as ever to take the Eagles.

We are now very capable of beating them, as well as beating both St Kilda and Port. This will set us up for a great finals run and I have had a small flutter on us getting to the GF.

We have proved that we are capable of winning at both Subi and on the road. Other sides will be starting to worry about us and especially Pav.

What are you on Dwayo, and I can I get some legally? Your optimism is admirable and enjoyable the first time but looks a bit disrespectful of the quality of the opposition when repeated too many times.

I think Friday will be one huge arm wrestle. The Eagles beat the Kangaroos by 4 points at Telstra, we lost to Adelaide by 6 points at AAMI. Reverse those results and you're looking at a very different form line since the break. The teams are very even.

As to quality football. We haven't played quality football. We're slowly winning more of the football but our skills are still poor (I can't believe Byron misses so many targets and hasn't yet been compared to Macca). A couple of passages late against Richmond shows what's possible but it doesn't come often enough. We rely too heavily on one star player.

So we are capable of beating these other sides but VERY capable is underestimating the quality of the opposition. Form wise I reckon we can scrare over the Eagles, we'll lose to Sainters unless they stack up a few more injuries, and we should beat Port as fold under pressure at the minute.

Maybe is about time WC lost a close game. With 9 wins by 24 point or less and their closest 4 games all resulting in wins by 11 points or less they have had a good run that has seen them probably 3 or 4 wins more than their performances merit.

Freo have lost their closest 3 games this season and have been comparison quite unlucky.

Close games have a large element of luck evidenced by that fact that the best team of the last 4 seasons (Brisbane) have only won 6 of their 22 games decided by less than 2 goals in that period.

Freo by 22 points though.

As supporters most of were gutted during the year when our team appeared to be imploding.

During that, 2 games happened. Dees and Cats. Just enough to keep the juices stired.

Some were on and off the bus so much you needed a multirider. Me included.

At the same time the toast was rolling along, having monday muck ups, silly blind mans bluff, players smirking behind their 'oh its hard to be humble attitude' during their little media cameos. Not admitting anything but great footy was the reason they were on top of the ladder.

Fremantle Football Club is now winning games. We are the real deal. We will win the Derby.

Our guys have kept a pretty good lid on things. CC will evolve from being seen as the town clown to a coach no one will underestimate ever again.

The game will be close in the end mabey 13 points. Only because our guns will be on the bench preparing for the Saints.

PS. The trains will be lined up at Subi and West leederville at 3/4 time for the weevils scurrying out early.

Well boys, what did you think of that. 5 on the trot and that was the hard part. The next 3 are easy.

Consolidated into the top 8 now and finals footy here we come.

The Eagles bubble has burst and were shown up by the doggies. We are far better than the doggies and we will really expose them next week. They will be shattered and thier season fall in a heap as a result. Then out of the finals nice and early.

Really looking forward to CC giving Woosha a coaching lesson, Seaby/Cox shown what rucking is about, the eagles midfield exposed/thrashed and above all the eagles defence trying to contain Pav and McPharlin. No chance.

Really hope we get them somewhere in the finals too and Freo will repeat the footy lesson.
I hope so too ;)

You just have to shake your head sometimes when Dwayo says stuff, he/she certainly loves the optimistic Pepp pills, but sometimes they make you feel a bit delusional :D
