If you were to work night shift and worked say 10:00pm- 6:00am, would you get payed 8 hours last night? Would you need to work till 7 just to get your hours up?

Similarly if you work during march, would you knock off at 5:00 or just get payed for an hour extra?

I'd assume you'd be paid for actual hours worked...

i'd imagine it would be too much of a headache to add/subtract an hour in terms of payroll/etc, i'd think most employers would treat it as there was no change in the clock

work til 6am both times

I know for a fact eastern Perth has pools and parks and windows.

Don't bother.
They're working class and we know you don't give a shit about anyone you think is 'bogan'

I think this is highly unlikely

Employees are prickly enough as it is, imagine the person who doesn't get the free hour but cops the extra?

Can't imagine it happening on a union site

I'm happy to report to everyone I got an adequate amount of sleep last night and enjoyed the later sunset tonight

Place I used to work in the WA trial time let you have the hour off for free in the short night, and paid an hour overtime for the long one. Smart move I thought, pre-empted the complaints and there's not actually that many people working anyway.

My work pays the hours worked, so 7 hours for Sat night and 9 hours when it changes back. I'd say most places working 24hrs don't let people just knock whenever they feel like it.

You do exactly what we do. 30 years after we did it.

Its good for the growth of Australia though, in that its growth is staggered Caesar.

Had we got our act together 30 years ago, imagine where Australia would be now.

Now we can carry Vic and NSW on the smell of an oily rag, because NSW and VIC doesnt want to live within their means, and allow other states to grow.

Why does everyone on GD seem to hate Perth :(
BFooty contains a very high % of Victorians, the most insular and parochial people in the country. Their inferiority complex with all things NSW for example is quite amusing.
