Daylight saving

Like it or not, this is a stupid argument. I have been able to vote for over a decade, yet the most recent was the first time i had a say on this issue.

Don't you think that the voting population has changed significantly since the last time it was put to the vote?

By that logic decisions made democratically in the early 1900's should still stand and never be revisited.

And no, having an opinion doesnt automatically make people idiots.

First of all, that wasn't an argument for or against Daylight savings, more so a dig at our government.

I have no problem with them constantly putting DST to vote, but if we say no, don't give us a ****ing 3 year trial

I love Daylight Savings.
Epic backyard cricket encounters almost every night after work with my brothers.
Preseason footy training also benefits as we can't use our ground (so that means no lights)

We should just keep the clock forward all year. Save sporting clubs money on lighting during the season.

Can we please keep it this way?

Why oh why do we need to change it back in the future?

So much daylight is wasted in the mornings, while most of us are pretty much asleep, or getting ready for school/work (you really couldn't give a stuff about daylight when you're doing this)...

Instead of it getting dark at 6pm (and hour after most of us get off work/uni lectures), it gets dark at 8!

Keep it this way I say!

Somebody start a petition! :D

Once again, only takes a day for me to realise how awesome DS is. Coming home to an extra hour of daylight just makes you much happier.

Being a Uni student, daylight savings ensures I at least get a minimal amount of sunlight in my day.

Having lived in Brighton, Elwood and Albert Park over the years, I would have to say the bay plus daylight savings is absolute win.

Stroll across and enjoy the water or beach later in the evening after dinner at home or after visiting a bustling St Kilda.

Perth just dosn't have anything similar to offer, compared to the way the local lifestyle and extra daylight hours work so well together in Melbourne.

First day of DS, and it already highlighted why i need to work harder to get my apartment in the City. Strolling down St. Kilda/Docklands at 8PM on a warm Sunday night with a brew in hand makes the working week bearable :D

Win-Win situation, everyone is happy

Hate it, I feel like im going to get shanked at my 6am run.

Dislike Daylight savings, i must be a hillbilly. Dislike light at 9.30pm in the middle of summer. I also dont understand why Australian's think its nessisary, fair enough in europe when there is 6 hours of daylight in winter its fine to move it so you still have resemblance of light at 4pm but i guess im a morning person.
 DS is a summer thing, and it's great for morning people.

I luuuuuuv the DS
