DS is a wonderful thing. I can miss out on golf during the winter, head to the footy and not feel guilty about not using a golf membership, because it more than makes up for it during summer after work. Can still get home in time for a barbie in the sun after 9 holes.

Also, people who get up chirpy in the morning and leap into the day should be deemed clinically insane.

I love daylight saving - you can go home and it is still light, you can kick the footy around, have a swim in your pool or go to the beach.

More like play cricket until 10pm at night.

more like country queensland bumpkins are clueless about daylight savings.

i thought there was going to be a referendum on daylight savings for south east queensland. But now they are not doing it caue all the non-south east queenslanders are against it. Why? They are not the ones having daylight savings. They can still go back to their uncultured ways.

You tried to say that there is only a 30 min difference between sunrise/set times throughout the year. I comprehensively debunked that ridiculous statement. ok, so we have a qlder staying with us atm. he brought this up last night and said it was a stupid idea and wont work in qld cause:

1. the hottest part of the day would be an hour later. he ignored the fact that it doesnt matter if you put the clocks back or forward its still gonna be hot, and could be just as hot at 7 or 8pm.

2. "try putting kids to bed when its daylight!" - he also said that cause i dont have kids believing that i cant comment. i said billions of people around the work seem to cope ok, including parts of near the artic circle where there can be 24 hours of daylight. granted not many people live up there .

fwiw i dont care if X doesnt have DS. however this guy reckons it would almost be like the end of the world and places that have DS are "stupid"
