Finding it hard to dislike Beams, whenever he did the locker talk type of thing he always looked happy and his teammates always looked liked they enjoyed the banter. In saying that it was a 3 minute clip into a weeks timeline of Beams and I guess when he went home things were different.

If i was Dayne Beams i would take out an invention order for stalking him he seems to know all about him that is TOUMP ASS.I am wondering see he know him so well if he could get some tips from him so i know what horses to lay willing to pay for the information just want another edge on the punt.I bet london to a brick i will never hear from TOUMP ASS.
Hi John,

I'm not sure what you're trying to say exactly. An Invention order sounds like a reward for creating something that didn't previously exist. I haven't created anything, all I'm doing is reporting on what I know for the good folks of the bigfooty Scandals and Rumours board. But don't take my word for it John- just ask any bookie in Melbourne. They'll confirm that Dayne Beams is an animal for the punt. He's an animal John. Frothing at the mouth. Show him a form guide and his pupils will dilate like a wolf, that's how much he loves having a punt. Loves it. Lives for it. Ask any bookie in Melbourne John... Dayne's gone rabid they'll say. Rabid. Like that dog in the Stephen King novel.

I live in Kew and I walk past the Harp of Erin twice a day. Just this afternoon I saw him at his table- black hoody on, watching the nags on TV, having a punt. Loves it at the Harp. Loves it. I'm not going to interrupt him when he's having a wager. If you want hot tips you can go to the Harp of Erin on High Street Kew, he's on a first name basis with the bartenders, ask them "Where's Dayne?" and they'll tell you he won't be far. You can ask him for tips yourself (but you'd want a few to share too).

Otherwise check the Casino- heard he was going hard there Saturday night. Why wouldn't he? Pies Top 4. No better way to celebrate your team-mates success than a night out on the punt! Blackjack, keno, 21. Roulette, baccarat... Doesn't matter what it is. If there's dice, cards, chips, a spinning wheel, a pokemon. A flashing screen, all of the above, none of the above. As long as you can put money on it, win money on it, and lose money on it, Dayne Beams will throw a Mastercard on it. Nothing surer in life.

Death, Taxes, and Dayne Beams having a punt. 100%.

Looks like getting Dayne Beams back has been a very bad move for the Pies regardless of injuries, gambling problems with them being so close last year they would have been hoping he would be part of this finals series.

Some people enjoy a day at the races- Melbourne Cup, Caulfield Cup, whatever it is. Have a few drinks, spot a couple of celebs, throw a few "Bradmans" at the bookies. Harmless way to pass a bit of time.

Other people invest a bit more into it- call it a hobby if you will. Listen to "The Odds Couple" on SEN, visit the punting board on bigfooty, sign up to the SportsBet e-mails and head straight to the racing section in the weekend's Herald-Sun. I know a couple of people who fancy themselves as connoisseurs: they've even taken out multiple bank accounts to maximise their wagers on SportsBet, BetEasy, Ladbrokes, Bet365...

... and then there's pigs like Dayne Beams. Legitimately can't get enough of the punt. Love it. Live for it. Dayne's on a first name basis with the bartenders at the Harp of Erin, even though he rarely buys a drink. He's got a stool with his name on it- can stay there as long as he wants, because the staff know how much he loves the nags on the TV and having a punt. He'd stay there day and night if he could, but if the Harp's closed, just check the alleys on High St. I've caught him running games of Two Up there, even when it's not ANZAC Day. I heard his kids are named Ruby and Carter because his wife said no to Diamonds and Spades- doesn't mind the odd game of blackjack at all does Beasmy. As long as you can put money on it, win money on it, and lose money on it, Dayne's into it. Lives it, breathes it. When I leave the house I check I've got my phone, wallet and keys. My boy Beamsy taps his pockets for the form guide and a packet of cards.

Bumped into Dayne at the last Springsteen concert in Melbourne, had a bit of chit-chat. I said "I hope the Boss plays State Trooper tonight!" and Beamsy said: "What are the odds on that?". I thought it was a joke at the time, then he said to me "Just give me Roll of the Dice and I'll be a happy man!". Ripping bloke is Dayne, ripping bloke. Must have won his tickets to the show, Beamsy. Or got a freebie from one of his bookie mates. You can't be out spending money on concert tickets when you could have a punt on the dogs, the horses, the tables, the cards...

If it's a race, a cup, a flag or a game, match, set or sport, Dayne's put a dollar on it. Just give it a market and he'll have a crack.

Can confirm this is 100% true- the reason Dayne's retiring from AFL is so he can have a punt on it. No other reason.

Loves a punt does Dayne Beams... absolutely loves it.
I'm still not sure I'm getting the gist of this. Don't give me your mumbo jumbo, just tell it to me straight. What are you trying to say?

How do you know that what people put on hear is true i work as leading betting agents a form analist and i know Beams does not bet with us or ever had an account maybe that was all in the past as his father lived in yarrwonga there was a bookie there who used to fund the football club the pigeons and play players such as Fevola and others he might of extended credit to Beams but that was years ago when he first left collingwood. There is no bookie around that would give him credit it is so hard to win for the bookie these days.I have been involve in racing for 50years live of the punt but then there we 100 bookies at the races now about 25 and the trots similar at Melton only one bookie

I can genuinely visualise Beams sitting on a stool at the Harp watching the trots, excellent post.

Do you want to re-think that one and maybe have another crack? Not sure it landed quite how you imagined it would. ;)

I'm not really a fan of Beams' and I guess we can say or speculate what we like, but it sure looks like he's having a rough time of it at the moment.
