Latest rumour via twitter is:

O'Rouke to Hawks for 19
Patful to GWS for 19
19 and 5 to pies for beams.

Does not look right as that's too much for Patful.

And hawks would rob another club.

How the f*ck do they keep doing it.

Sorry off topic. Back to the subject matter.

If this draft is so shallow i.e obvious top 4, would we prefer redden and 25 to pick 5 and 25. 25 then to North for Greenwood.

Could Redden and Greenwood replace Beams?

Would rather Rich than Redden. Adams can replace Ball's grunt and Greenwood can replace Beams's grunt. We don't need more grunt from Redden we footskills, like what Rich has.

We can still get treloar for beams nxt year, get Beams clean the toilets or something if he stays at Collingwood this year. Or he can train on his own and not the main group.

Redden + 2nd rounder would suit me, but I don't like our chances of getting any players besides scrubs off the Brions (particularly Redden who was name checked on Twitter).

The clear best scenario is to flog Beams off elsewhere , otherwise hold on to him and cop the consequences but send a message.

But.... I'm betting we buckle for 5+25 sadly.

GWS said yesterday that he isn't going to be traded and js a required player. That's why.
I understand that but he does want to return home. His contract expires next year so what if he turns to them next year which is a real possibility and says I am not resigning with you, I want a trade to a VIC club. If GWS know this about him already and they do after he asked last year, why not get something very decent for him now, like a top pick in the draft and another quality player or early second round pick to go with it.

Yes i know i know, but it satisfies the Lions and Pies, we just have to get GWS on board and see HOW we can get it across the line

I seriously doubt we are going to get much better than 5 and 25. Not even sure we'd be interested in a Crisp or Lester.

Is it what it is i guess.

I think you have the two confused. Rich is a ball winner with suspect disposal and T-rex arms while Redden is great outside and I'd say has the better disposal of the two.

GWS trade pick 21 for Patfull (they'll get another similar pick in the KJ trade from either St Kilda or Carlton)
Brisbane trade pick 21 for Greenwood
Collingwood trade Beams for pick 5, Greenwood and pick 25

A better deal would be nice, but this is what I could see us accept if we don't want to bother with holding up to a disgruntled Beams for a year.

we can have Greenwood, Redden and Adams rotating through doing that grunt work. You cant leave it to a couple guys
Well we have Freeman who is coming through soon. In the future our combination will be Greenwood, Adams, Freeman. Right now we still have Pendlebury, Swan and Sidebottom who are all capable ball winners so it won't be left to a couple of guys.
