Could be something like:

GWS
Gain: Griffen, pick 30
Lose: Pick 4, Shiel

Collingwood
Gain: Shiel
Lose: Pick 5

Dogs
Gain: Pick 4, pick 5
Lose: Griffen

Do we have pick 30 or am I imagining that? Meh..
Picks 4 & 5 would be a serious get by Dogs if they pulled that off.

Off the back of some errors being detected, I've changed it to this..

Pies get 5, 21, Greenwood, Varcoe & Crisp, lose pick 30, "H" and Beams
Lions get Bundy & Beams, lose 5, 21 & 25
North get 25 & lose Greenwood.
Cats get Clarke & lose Bundy
Demons get "H" and pick 30

If correct, we started out with pick 30, Beams & "H".
Now we have 5 & 21, Greenwood, Varcoe & Crisp

Pick 21 is traded from Lions to Cats for Bundy.
Cats trade it to Demons for Clark & they trade it to us for "H"

Does that one work?
Still need to add in that Geelong loses varcoe

Catch ya buddy, club doesn't need people like you
So let me see if I understand, your position is to keep buying a membership no matter what, and to have blind faith that the club knows what they're doing. Jande has been a member for 20+ years, so he aint a bandwagoner supporter.
I have been a member 10 years, I don't think I could envisage a time when I would cancel my membership, but a bit of understanding for how hurt Jande must be, to be considering canceling a 20 year membership.

The club put a timeline on Brisbane for last Friday and issued a statement after it. The timeline was so that we didn't get bogged down for the second week of trade.

So what if Brisbane is still at the table with us, it certainly doesn't mean that we aren't listening to other clubs.

With what they were previously offering of course there was no way that we would deal and I for one was strong in my opinions for a 5 and Aish trade.

Now 5 is on the table, with an extra pick and Crisp. A 190+ cm mid/half forward who had a solid end to the season, is only 21 and found it hard to break into a pretty competitive midfield.

The deal is fair with both clubs meeting in the middle and the Pies not having a player that doesn't want to be a part of our club.

I'm a member of our great club and a 40 year fan who can't wait for our season to kick off again.

I'll be following suit if it goes through as reported.

"Negotiations between the Collingwood Football Club and the Brisbane Lions over Dayne Beams CEASED at 5pm on Friday evening"

We were lied to and unfortunately I can't support the current administration because of it.
Disagree, negotiations involve a two way discussion, we shut it down and made them go away.
They came back and offered Crisp.
The whole thing is a game of cat & mouse and PR spin.
Here's what I was told by someone on Sept. 25 "I would think the bulk of the Beams deal would be 4 + 24 with maybe a Crisp or Golby"
Pretty bloody spot on if it goes through.

Exclusive negotiotions ceased.

As soon as we said we would start talking to other clubs they improved their offer. Nothing wrong with that. We put a deadline on the stalemate to give us plenty of time to work on other alternatives.

GWS say they won't trade Boyd anyhow, "under any circumstances".

But the difference is that Boyd and Griffen wanted to swap clubs.

Beams is not giving us that option to do a great trade like that.

Otherwise, of course we'd jump at that.

Stretching things to say they lied. Negotiations did cease! There was never a statement that no further communication would be entertained.

Because Beams is a campaigner.

I think clubs and the AFL need to put a stop to this BS of players trying to break Contractors? This really has turned into the silly season and a debacle for many clubs involved being held to ransom to some degree.

Some form of penalty should be imposed for any players wishing to break contracts early IMO, something has to be done otherwise why bother signing Contracts.

Why not at the start of each Season we just pick 18 captains and have everyone else line up and than individual pick a team from that pool like we used to at school. Would Crisps be last do you think? Poor fella.
