If we got 22 for H and kept that and stayed away from varcoe I'd be pretty happy
Are we Sending Lumumba to StKilda are we? I'd be happy to stay away from Varcoe though and perhaps package 5 and 23 together to move back a little in the draft if possible - eg. 2 picks inside the top 15-16 ( hello GC, how are you nice fellows doing up there?).

The only options we have available to us to make a statement with Beams by holding our nerve and potentially losing a high draft pick when or if he walks at the end of next season. I don't particularly care about Varcoe and in time will prove to be a list clogger who will take more than his fair chunk of the salary cap moving forward.

If we want to have cap space to chase after the likes of Dangerfield and Walker we need to have room to move. Varcoe will only hinder our ability to do this. If we lose Beams for nothing next season we have the capacity to bring in high class replacements next season. There is always a chance that Beams may not end up at Brisbane next year with the likes of StKilda, Melbourne, and GWS lurking. I am sure Brisbane know this.

I'm happy with the result.
I actually think Varcoe might be more valuable to us than Beams anyway.
Our midfield could use a shakeup, we have plenty of depth, but a fast forward/winger/back with flair and talent like varcoe we are desperately short of. And I'd have Vacoe in the side over Young any day of the week.
Sidebottom is well on his way to overtaking Beams, based on his second half of the season last year.
With Freeman coming through, Broomhead, Elliot, Fas, benken getting a run in the middle we are good for midfield talent.
Then there's Seedsman who I think will benefit from someone like Beams leaving. Seedsman can be even better than Beams and hopefully this will give him a spot to prove himself.
Don't forget Karnezis was recruited to be a tall midfielder too.

I also know people popin ,and more than happy to share breaking news on here. Also this boyd and griffin situation has thrown a spanner in the works for us dealing with gws
Funny - because I would have thought it would have opened things up for us in terms of wanting to shed some of potentially three picks inside the top 10.

Looks like somebody has hacked your account. Youre far too positive.

I wouldn't blame the club on this one either... I'm guessing but beams is probably saying he only wants to go to brisbane? I haven't read one thing about gold coast.. and surely they would be interested.
