Up until today, I always held a hope that it was injuries that had kept us from performing to our best over the last 3 years and that with a little luck on the injury front we would be back to a top team. If this trade goes through I have no hope for that. The era is over and we are in full rebuild. Makes me a little sad.

I wouldn't blame the club on this one either... I'm guessing but beams is probably saying he only wants to go to brisbane? I haven't read one thing about gold coast.. and surely they would be interested.
They do not have the cap space with the Melceski signing to satisfy Beams wage demands.

Can someone be bothered photoshopping Crisp and Greenwood in pies jumpers?

How does one put a pies jumper on a turnip? I'll leave the pros handle Levi - which by the way will be a useful pickup. Unlike the turnip.

I have nothing personal against crisp, but if he comes to the pies I will only refer to him as the turnip.

Nail head hammer, IF this deal goes ahead it's because Beams has stitched us up by insisting on being traded to Brisbane, it's a vicious and spiteful performance from a petulant little pr1ck.

Those of you blaming the club are truly hysterical.

Why are we talking about Boyd in the Beams thread?
Because (hoping against all hope) that if Dekka isn't just about to cave in on the pittance of an "increase" the Lions have put on the table then a potential Boyd trade might leave GWS pick-heavy and looking even more enthusiastically to deal...

**** Beams and his "preferred" club - if he wants out of his current contract and GWS are willing to offer similar coin then we can send him there. A bit over an hour each way on the plane if he wants to keep in touch with the folks on a more regular basis.

I'm happy with the result.
I actually think Varcoe might be more valuable to us than Beams anyway.
Our midfield could use a shakeup, we have plenty of depth, but a fast forward/winger/back with flair and talent like varcoe we are desperately short of. And I'd have Vacoe in the side over Young any day of the week.
Sidebottom is well on his way to overtaking Beams, based on his second half of the season last year.
With Freeman coming through, Broomhead, Elliot, Fas, benken getting a run in the middle we are good for midfield talent.
Then there's Seedsman who I think will benefit from someone like Beams leaving. Seedsman can be even better than Beams and hopefully this will give him a spot to prove himself.
Don't forget Karnezis was recruited to be a tall midfielder too.
Varcoe more valuable than Beams????????????? What's that on the horizon? Your credibility sailing away. o_O

Comes in and shit cans the club admin

Support AEK a Greek club. Most likely Greek.
Greeks used the Trojan horse to infiltrate Troy. Brisbane BF Mods using him to incite the Pies posters and cause some issues without the threat of a ban.
Yep. BRISBANE TROLL! Now **** off! :D
Unfortunately he/she isn't a Brisbane troll, it's one of our own..

But we don't have to give into his demands. If he and his management want to go all boss on us we can say "see this bit of paper, we own you for 12 more months, so either you play or go to where we say. If you chose to sit out we sue your ass". I'm not sure how likely or possible the last part would be but stuff him, we nees to be ruthless - they aren't doing us any favours.

Exactly.
There's not much you can do when you have both hands tied behind your back.
The club would be doing every thing they can to get the best deal possible.

Yeah but because he has played the 'dad' card (and fair enough) we are almost obliged to work out the best deal for both parties..but when one party thinks they have a team of abletts we get shat on.
