Now he makes an effort (albeit small) to do so, and all we can do is try and dig the heels in?

Christ, that's a hell of a lot classier tweet than his brother and new team mates have been coming out with. At least he didn't follow their lead.

Credit where credit is due. At least he has finally taken a few seconds to thank the club that gave him so much.

There's some truth to what you say but in reality, we all know that anything said by any of the parties now is highly likely to be PR spin. Not saying that is necessarily so but I think people will take a bit of convincing.
