Sam Edmund is a reliable journalist. There's a lot of circle-jerking about how unreliable the footy media is but he wouldn't put his name to the statement that Beams has played his last game unless it was legitimate.
You get stressed out over nobodies on social media making a comment about De Goey's or Moore's contract but are waiting for an official source on something actually reported?

In fact I linked an article by SE which suggested that they will work on a settlement. This is different from officially retiring. We cannot list anyone else until he's officially retired.

Agree, but if they take months to work on the settlement, the deadline for listing someone else will pass.
I think everyone knows that the club knew Beams wouldn't play another game, months ago, yet there's no simple panacea for dissolving the contract.
