166 = the Bulldogs' highest ever score in South Australia, vs. Port Adelaide in R7, 2006 :thumbsu:

The Bulldogs belted Port off the park, leading by a whopping 69 points halfway through the 2nd quarter. Port rallied and reduced the margin to less than 5 goals during the 3rd quarter, before another 6 goal Bulldog onslaught. The Bulldogs won by 76 points :D

Adam Cooney showed the explosive form that would one day win a Brownlow with 3 first quarter goals :fire:

Terry Wheeler's card number in 1990. Has any Bulldog had a higher number on a footy card?

This is my first contribution, and only two weeks late, but while watching the game between the Dogs and GWS I noticed a little livewire called Angelica Gogos who is a lofty 156 cms, or 5 foot one.

The number of consecutive games played by John Schultz between 1959 and 1968, the highest consecutive games total by any Bulldog.
John Schultz was my local grocer when I lived in Glen Waverley in the 60s. I think his dad owned the shop.
I'd started barracking for Footscray during the '61 grand final. That turned out well, until recently.
I remember a young, blonde guy stacking shelves with Corn Flakes and baked beans.
I also seem to recall that he smiled a lot, and he certainly smiled a lot on grand final day last year.

Our 172nd victory in the VFL was in round 18, 1946 versus Hawthorn. We kicked our highest score at the time 23.27 (165) and produced our highest winning margin at the time (112 points).

The total of Brownlow votes obtained by Gary Dempsey during his Footscray career, putting him just one vote ahead of Scott West.

Dennis Collins. He was 178 cm tall. In addition (pardon the upcoming pun) 178 equals his games played for Footscray (100) plus his playing weight (78 kg).

The height in centimetres of Luke Dahlhaus, the only player of that height in our premiership team.

The crowd at the Prelim win over GWS was 21790 people.

We kicked 179 goals across the entirety of the 1942 VFL season, which was shortened due it being the height of WWII. The competition was noticably lower, Geelong were uanble to field a team, and with the Western Oval being used for the war effort we had to relocate to Yarraville Oval (which we could use due to the VFA not running during the War). The 19th man as a substitute was introduced for the first time, and the draw was unequal with some teams playing 16 games and others 15, with some teams doubling up with 5 opponents. I wonder if they complained about the unequal draw then, or they were to worried about a potential Japanese invasion of Australia!

Did you know:

Norm Ware and Arthur Olliver played their 200th games together (1st semi final, 1946).
Rohan Smith and Scott West played their 200th games together (round 9, 2002).
both Brad Johnson's (round 11, 2003) and Chris Grant's (round 11, 1999) 200th games were draws.

Smith and West is interesting given they also played their 300th together - that'd have to be a fairly rare stat. Given they got from 200 to 300 from 2002 to 2006 means they mustn't have missed many games either.
