Isn't every action sequence for the last 90 years cliched?Better than Suicide Squad still not great. Black Mask, Zsasz and Quinn are great, rest isn’t much chop. There is an early scene that is amazing but it rolls into some cliche action sequences in the second half. Disappointing as they had been on a upswing since SS.

The use of the term 'cliche' has become a one used by lazy, uninspiring minds who really shouldn't have a voice.

Probably the best DCEU film for me since BvS.
People like different movies. News at 6.
I have seen both, I didn't think they were "defining pieces of film" at all, but I did enjoy them.John Wick and The Raid are the two defining pieces of film that refreshed the action genre.
So not all

After seeing Birds of prey it's easy to see why it's tanking at the box office.
Steaming pile of merde.
It's a 12 year old girls movie on the whole with an R rating. Thus a large chunk of potential paying customers couldn't go see it.
Can we say Got Woke, Went Broke?

Admittedly I didn't get the feeling they were aiming at the 'men are bad' messaging. I just think it was a movie about a bunch of women that beat up a bunch of blokes and male antagonists such as Blackmask and Zsasz? Ehh didn't honestly bother me, again I thought the movie was good, so maybe I missed all that.
Just because it’s an all female cast, doesn’t always mean they’re trying to be woke, and alienate men solely for female empowerment.
BOP and also WW don’t enforce that. They’re just female characters who coincidentally have a story to tell.
Meanwhile you have Disney/Marvel who do exactly that in Captain Marvel and Avengers End Game.

If you can't accept having a majority female cast in a film, you need to take a long hard look at your insecurities.
