Anybody pick this up today?

It's basically the same as the previous game. It has the same weird, slow gameplay and the same average graphics. It's pretty average in general ... but there are zombies in it so it makes it that little extra bit better.

As it was with the first game, playing in co-op makes this game so much more fun.

Worth a watch, Pwnisher has done a few live action game shorts before including Sleeping Dogs and Killzone and they've both been excellent, as is this.

The first one was boring solo but then again I got it like 1yr after release so no one was really playing.

I would only recommend this (and Dead Island 1) to people if they are going to go through it on co-op, solo is a complete snore-fest, there is no point playing this game by yourself.

Have they improved it at all? I had fun playing the first one with a mate, but it still got old pretty quickly. I was hoping that they'd build on that and release a decent game this time.

It's pretty much an expansion pack to the first game.

Yep, said the same thing to JordanWCE the dots don't appear until you get close enough, i swear the 1st one had them appear from where ever you were.

That and they lead you to different places.

Annoying. I took it back. The game is to broken by todays standards.

A big pass for me. Hasn't been getting good reviews, and from the looks of things, looks exactly like the first one which I didn't overly enjoy.

Totally agree with above posters. Playing co-op takes the original game from a 4-5 to a 7-8.
Sure its basic and repetitive, but countless hours spent in the A.M in 4 player co-op going through the story, creating weapons and sinking froffies....
Just saw a post on a friends FB page that apparently Riptide doesn't have co-op in the story mode.... Any truth to this???

Premiers04 and I did pretty much the whole game in co-op.

Had a few drinks with my neighbour and some of his friends a couple of weeks ago. Someone decided to bust out Guitar Hero which was good fun as no one had played it in years. There was a 19yo girl there who announced to all in the house, "I used to play this on expert all the time, but I'll just do it on hard for now". Result = Song Failed in 10 seconds. I laughed

So is the first game worth getting for the co op experience? i was thinking of getting it just to play with a mate online
