Where is the best place to buy?

I might actually just go Ozgameshop, I can wait a week or two.

Yeah seems the best bet. I paid $89 at JB today, not as bad as EBs $98 but with our dollar having been so strong for so long now and not looking like slowing down any time soon, they really need to re-adjust the pricing to put us in line with the US. I would've got it online myself but having a 4 day weekend i wanted to play it now god damn it :D

and they wonder why Online shopping is a popular choice.

So true, and I have also noticed JB selling more brand new games at $89 more than before; they used to have decent starting prices of $69-79, but recently everything has been $89. You'd think they would try combat online prices by selling a bit cheaper, the pricks.

Dead Space 1 is pretty much the perfect survival horror game. I found Dead Space 2 got a bit too actiony every now and then and couldn't recreate that same tension of DS1.

Grabbed Dead Space 3 this arvo, not playing it until it gets dark though :D
Only way to play it is at dark! With good surround sound or headphones :)

played dead space 2 as I got it free from being a playstation plus member and really enjoyed it. Haven't felt so tense for some time playing a horror game. With dead space 3 having a big co op focus, I kind of am worried that it won't be as scary as going through a dark corridor by yourself. Hope I'm wrong though

Grabbed it on PC for $46.00 (code via email) from ozgameshop. Loving it at the moment. Classic Dead Space formula. Sure there is few more action bits but it still maintains the scares. Being probably my favourite series this gen I was worried reading the early impressions but they were laid to rest early on.

Leaning towards getting it now tobe honest. A lot of people seem to be enjoying it.

Loving it, playing it with headphones and in the dark has given me more than a few jumps, the sound in this game is top notch and adds so much more to the atmosphere. The necromorph count is definitely up from previous games so far and almost got caught out with absolutely no ammo at one point but i do like a good challenge. Havent needed to duck behind cover or roll out the way of anything yet so in my eyes its classic dead space, just with more to kill and faster movement.

For anyone playing it, I recommend doing the side missions, they have been good fun and delivered the bulk of the scares so far, not to mention you get rewarded with plenty of resources. Mixed feelings towards the whole resource thing, with the large amounts of necromorph to kill, im always finding myself using up all my scrap metal on ammo clips and can never get around to crafting any mods for my guns. I did make a nice line gun early, its a bit slow on the reload and rate of fire but shoots a wide bolt of electricity which seems to take em out in 1-2 hits no matter where it hits. Only being able to have 2 guns on you at a time is pretty annoying though when they focus so much on the customisation of weapons, would like to carry a couple for testing, rather than replacing my good stuff only to find out it doesn't work well and having to backtrack to the bench.

Overall though i am enjoying it as much as the previous games, dark room and headphones highly recommended.

Just finished it, really happy with the game overall. Last 2 hours or so is awesome. Moves at incredible pace, some really neat set pieces thrown in too. If I had to rank it within the series, its probably better then 1, but falls short of 2.

Is it harder than 2?

Just trying to decide whether to start on hard or not.

Finished it on Impossible, its not really difficult. Tends to get easier as it goes on, mainly due to the weapon upgrading/suit upgrades. I pretty much used the Plasma Cutter all the way through the game, upgraded to max damage.

About halfway through on chapter 9, like it a lot, but i am a fan of the others too. I like what Visceral have done with the third installment, plays just like the earlier ones too.

Don't know about all the reports of it being too easy, started on hard difficulty but was getting my ass handed to me frequently, so went to normal and still get overwhelmed by enemies occasionally. A lot of people saying it's easy cos you get an abundance of med-gels and you can also craft your own. That, I guess is what I don't like about it, is the ease at which you gain medgels and that your suit slots are at max from the beginning.

Very, very good game, although I am only halfway, I know it will stand up as a definite Dead Space in my eyes. And don't believe the people on forums that bag it for having set pieces like COD; it doesn't have that many at all (at least up until halfway).

Bought some headphones with Dead Space 3 in mind, so looking forward to starting up on this tomorrow night. :D

Can't believe i had doubts over this game. Only on chapter 4 at the moment and shaping up to be a ripper and the best trilogy i've ever played. The benches are a bit confusing at the moment though, they'll take a bit of fiddling around. The only slight annoyance is rolling accidently. (Not sure how i'm even doing it. lol)

No, not yet. Will be doing another run through after i finish my current one with a co-op partner, i may end up giving it a go on Hardcore if the co-op partner is interested. Not going anywhere near Pure Survival. Sounds like torture.
