WARNING: THIS GAME IS MADE BY EA.:eek::eek:

Apart from that it looks alright, like a bit of Aliens/Doom.

For some reason I entered 2008 as my birthdate, and now I can't view it.

Will check youtube.

EDIT: Yeah looks cool. Reminds me of FEAR a bit.

There are a few scares in there... there's about three trailers and some little docos about the making of the game.

The one unique thing about this game is that there's no guns as weapons, only cutting tools so it should be as gory as hell. In fact when you look at the alien attackers, you start thinking this is more like Doom 3 with a dash of "The Thing" movie.

I'm a shocker with scary games (I'm a wimp and start shooting everywhere when I hear or see something :o ) but I'm definitely buying this, looks a ripper.

There was a PS2 game "The Thing". Pretty decent too.

Meh looks like a typical ps3 game, great graphics and style, lacking on the actual gameplay.

apart from the fact it's multiplat.?.? :S

also i guess if you're just trying to hate out on the ps3 for the sake of it (which clearly you are)

give the examples of all these "typical" ps3 games with no gameplay. exclusives of course.
i can only think of a couple of average/below average exclusives off the top of my head (haze and lair which i actually havn't played either of them)

and by using the word typical you'd have to be able to show more games than i could counter with which would be awfully surprising that you'd have played as many as i have with you seemingly being a 360 fanboy

seriously though i wouldn't bother because we all know what you've said is complete rubbish. :)

Anyone picked this up? Grabbed it last night. All I can say is whoa!

This game pretty much went under the radar for me, but it is unbelievably good. I picked it up because I love TP Survival Horror games. Plus I wanted to play and complete it before picking up Far Cry 2, as I know the MP aspect will suck all my gaming time.

I was expecting it to be ok, to pretty good....but it's absolutely amazing.

The gameplay is awesome, giving you a range of cutting tools to dismember the enemy. You start out with the Plasma Cutter, but pretty quickly unlock the plasma rifle.

Hitting the enemies in the chest doesn't do much, it's all about dismembering them. Take off a leg to slow them down, then curb stomp them as they crawl at you, take off their head and they'll run right at you.

Graphics are superb, atmosphere is excellent.

I'm only on to the 2nd chapter of about 12, but already it has me hooked.

Kinda Resi Evil 4 meets Doom 3

A definite must for any fan of Survival Horror games

I'm going to have to add this one to the list. FFS this is getting to be a long list!

It's a must buy.

Hows the controls? Just watching the vids it looked kind of clunky. Is aiming ok?

Controls are smooth and fluid, handles brilliantly.

It perhaps looks some what clunky because the character is slowish, but thank fully there is a run button.

This is truly showcasing the powers of this generation of gaming.

I had it on pre-order so haven't started playing yet but I watched the DVD you get with the pre-order that explains how everything is the way it is when you start the game.

I'll start playing tonight when it gets dark :D .

I've only seen a couple of trailers, and I'm still waiting for the 'Gametrailers' review as I don't respect IGN's opinion at all.

But what's the verdict? I love Survivor Horror games. -Especially Resident Evil 4 (and the other REs), Silent Hill 4, Project Zero. What I don't like are games like Half Life 2 that just drag on, get repetitive, and lacks any compelling story. The latest Doom was crap as well. Gears of War rocked. And Bioshock had all the right things but didn't move along at quite the right pace. I'm a little picky, but normally I love my Horrors and FPS equally as much.

Any advice?
